German officially ruled out for the remainder of the year.
The Yanks are officially ALE Champs. Now it's a race for home field, but more importantly, time to heal up.
Anyone want to start a pool for which inning Grichuk hits his obligatory HR?
Go Yanks.

and, frankly, the Yankees for not pressing the issue before MLB had to.

I guess we have to start off the thread with a stupid comment. How did the Yankees not press the issue especially since we, the general public don't know the details of what happened ? Compared to what happened on other teams and in other sports, I'd say the Yankees behavior has been exemplary . The Yankees have made it clear that German is done for the year. He's probably done as a Yankee, but they can't say that pending whatever MLB does.
You're right. Your comment is stupid.
I'm making an assumption that the Yankees were aware of the incident before the MLB office. At some point it would be nice if an MLB franchise would rush to hold their players to account for incidents like this.
Why would he be done as a Yankee?

It’s probably a sensitive issue for most of us but that doesn’t mean you need to insinuate the Yankees knew something and turned a blind eye. That’s quite an accusation whether you came out and said it directly or not.

Frazier is all kinds of fugly out in RF. That was not a triple by Hernandez.

It is indeed.
Time to wack Waguespack.
A man who I admired as a pitcher and looked forward to following for years is probably done as a Yankee and may turn out to be a monster. If that's the case, the blame needs to be on him and only him. Not Boone, not Cashman and not any other Yankee.
Why was Didi back behind the bag?
Dear lord this season.
1-0 on Biggio coming around to score.
This is fucking ridiculous
That’s how bad it was.
That’s how bad it was.
Seriously. That ball was over the damned RH batters box.
madness.
...won the first game of a series this season?
Oh, well.
All roads lead through Houston and their 3 buzz saw starting pitchers.
bodies back like EE, and El Gary for the postseason now.
And RP, you were off base on the German handling by the
Yanks in this case. I don't think anyone condones DV,
lets just let the facts play out here okay.
6 saves as well...to me, therein lies not getting homefield
too many players out such that sparks have to come from a smaller and smaller cadre of uninjured hot hitters.
Honestly, the list of guys now playing at their season average play or better includes Gardner,Urshela, DJ, Britton, Chapman, Romine and Paxton. I cant tell when I watch Torres. Maybin and Judge are visibly shaking off aches and pains too many times to claim they are fine. Voit its hard to tell for he can go from an easy out for pitchers who know how to pitch to him to hitting it hard but at someone ( To me, he has been a bit unlucky lately). Didi is not close to his better in prior seasons. Frazier is just not playing offense or defense with an extra gear. Otto is clearly in a funk.
and EE, Stanton and Gary are a lot of firepower that not firing right now.
Betances is a non factor that could have been a big contributor
And Sevy might be better as he gets longer off setting a innings limited and imploding German.
Happ is Happ and CC is wearing out ( and much as we wish otherwise at the end of his career).
So overall, I don't see the team going into the playoffs with more swagger and confidence than question marks.
But ten games can be enough of season left to both get rest for some and get reps for others
