This was the 5th pick in the draft. He got a lot of love back in April. A little disappointed that he won't be able to go. I always look forward to seeing the top selections play. He was taken right before Daniel Jones.

Everyone is screaming for more Barkley this week (which we should) but we should definetly be looking for a very balanced approach to this game. Bucs run defense is the best one we have faced so far this year, and their pass d leaves a lot to be desired.
We spend months discussing the top prospects when you pick in the top ten. I just like to get a look at the top guys. I wasn't really thinking about whether or not it is better for our chances of winning.

They’ve been really strong vs run, said in another thread what they did vs San Fran(and then what San Fran rushers did vs Cincy) and what they did vs McCaffery after what he did in the opener was impressive. Going to be a good matchup with our oline/Barkley vs their run d..but I do think they are susceptible through the air for sure. All of their pass rush has come from Barrett(Denver castoff) and I believe he will be going up vs Solder. He faced Daryl Williams playing left tackle(believe he’s a career RT) and I don’t know if San Fran’s starter at LT was injured or not. They will be aggressive blitzing with Bowles.
I'm with you. Cam was awful in that game because he couldn't get anything on his throws and couldn't run. I'm not buying the idea that the Bucs have a good defense for stopping the Panthers with a QB that clearly wasn't healthy enough to play.
I agree it’s good though, from a speed standpoint alone taking a LB who runs a 4.4 off the field is a good thing.
