This game is just another chance for Jones to learn what a good defense throws at you. With little support expect picks and tough sledding
But Jones will show flashes of what makes him special at some point in the game and that is a WIN for the giants and their fans. So sit back and enjoy the maturation of our qb and young guys on the team
Remember that most of these players will not be on the team when we are ready to win
Yes I believe this. The pats are great but they played a bunch of trash. Outside a team or two.

Unlikely because we still have a trash defense
But the injuries to so many of our starting weapons this early in the season is fucking ridiculously lame. We have to better, especially this early in the season. Shame.

But we dont so no need to worry
We will not be trashed in this game because I am confident that Jones will make plays and keep the giants in it for most of the game. But he is learning with back ups and will make mistakes which are good because it is teaching him about top level defense in the NFL
Am super hyped for the game and expect a loss
When and if the game gets to the point you indicate it will, and it becomes Obvious the Giants are not going to win, I will take into consideration what you suggest
You can bet the team has designs on winning. It s why they play the games

Of course the goal is to win but it's all a learning experience and Jones will keep them in the game. Am confident he will play a solid game but will make mistakes as it's part of having back ups and being a rookie vs a top franchise
So, I'm glad this means nothing.

^This.
This, and every game, mean a ton for the coaching staff, so I really disagree with the OP. But from a fan standpoint, I'd say the season, not just this game, is really about the development of Jones.
They all need experience, and playing the best/top 3 team in the league is the best experience they can ask for.
Jones, Slayton, Hernandez, Hill, Lawrence, Baker, Carter, Ximines, Peppers (yeah, I know it's his 3rd season), Baker, Ballentine, Love, et al are the core of this team for 2020....along with Barkley, Engram, Shepard, & Connelly. Getting these guys on the field for 60 minutes, under difficult circumstances, will help to build the confidence they need for the future.
Everyone will laugh at this, but the struggles Parcells had with his '83 team, led to the successes of '84-'90. The future starts now!
However, I agree with the OP.
More than other teams, the Pats realize that injuries are a fact of life in the NFL, and from a cost-performance standpoint, it's best to have an A- player backed up by a B+ player at every position. Given the cost of elite players, most other teams opt for an A or A+ player backed up by a C or C+ player, so there's a horrendous dropoff when injuries arise, as they always do.
For most teams, "Next man up" means "Keep your fingers crossed," but for the Pats "Next man up" means "No problem. The second guy is almost as good." And that's precisely what everyone is saying (though they don't realize it) when they say that the Pats have very few high-priced high-profile All-league players. I'll bet the Pats have the best 25 backup players in the NFL.

Yea true. Compare the difference with the recent front office decisions by the Giants. Picking a back that high in the draft - if needed at all -- let alone with a roster like that, is like driving a Rolls Royce to your double wide.
Weather is supposed to be sloppy/windy/chilly. Can he come out with a game plan to muck it up, keep the chains moving, and shorten the game?
Leave yourself a puncher's chance in the second half and hope for a fluke play or two.
