And no big injuries Im happy. Kind of how I feel going into a preseason game basically. Giants would be overmatched at full strength tonight and they arent close to full strength.
but this game feels so inevitable its just hard to get up for it. Playing the best team in the league with serious injuries in daniel jones 4th game yikes
I thought the weather was supposed to be miserable, i.e
no fear of our running game, my guess is the Patriots routinely play six or seven DBs. Their front four should be able to control our OL, we have no Shepard or Engram, and Jones is a rookie. It's going to be a long night.
They have played the worst collection of teams possible. Washington, the Jets with Falk, Miami, Buffalo and even if you like Allen hes out for the fourth. Need to see a real team. And I dont think its us.
the gaps, but coaching is a real gap and will not get us where we need to go. Our fool owners will waste time using him to develop DJ at the fans expense.
jones is in tonight. No weapons, no running game, best defense in football, on a short week, against belicheck, on the road, with a moron calling the plays
Looks like the entire middle of the line got pushed back
They let him on the team. Gave him a locker and a jersey. All of that. It's enough. They've been more than kind to the guy. I can deal with all of that. Just please stop putting him games.
And the offense tonight? The Patriots defense right now is historically good. Who knows how season will play out but they're great. Giants are trotting out 3rd stringers
1st period? I'd take it.. Anxiety might die down a bit,,, because they might have the feeling that they belong on the field wit the Pats! Hey fuckers.. I'm at least trying
Down the punt at the 10 with no Patriots around when it likely would have bounced closer to the endzone. 2 Giants were back there to prevent it from going in.
I'm on team Jones but his deep ball has been a pretty big weakness
to a long list of horrible FA signings by DG...the list grows and grows
Because there isn't any time for Tate to return a positive
maybe, but considering the laundry list of trash FA signings...i have my doubts. He is also redundent with shepard...which is another reason the signing made no sense
Looked like the DB was all over his arms before the ball arrived
I think I heard that they have not overturned any PI challenges this year.
The NFL only put the rule in to shut up the whiny NO fans, to act like they care. Can't blame them.
So much for the great poise we have been talking about. Looks like a deer in the headlights tonight. Like I always say with recent draft choices, way too early to tell. Jones is dealing with an empty hand tonight but you can't look much worse. Almost every pass could have been picked.
That play call was horrible, he made predictable!!! Why did he take out the RB that was running well?? That makes it look like you are going to try a pass!! And they sniffed it out, thats why the coverage was so good and he had to throw it away! Fuck I hate Shurmur!
Gettlemen is clairvoyant! He knew that Shepard, Engram and BARKLEY were going to get injured and we needed an $11 million dollar fourth option! Yes! Depth! :)
Great to see the kid come back like that after what has transpired previously tonight.
On anotehr note, Golden beat newhouse easily for hi sack but has since lined up on the other side. Why not keep him going against Newhouse? The pass rush has been invisible since that one sack.
Gettlemen is clairvoyant! He knew that Shepard, Engram and BARKLEY were going to get injured and we needed an $11 million dollar fourth option! Yes! Depth! :)
will wilt under the circumstances, hasnt been paying attention. Like Eli, hes VERY competitive AND mentally tough. Makes a bad play on the INT and comes right back with a GREAT play. Shows me a lot.

Looks like that was a mistake. Saw the two Giants TDs though. Can't believe what I'm seeing in this game v NE. Giants in it? Yes they are. Amazing grace. Second half could be rewarding. (Putting away the baseball.)
but saw the box....shocked its tied up! Unfortunately, see DJ has two more int's. Were they bad ints, tips, etc...
He threw behind Tate and it got tipped and picked. On second isnt, he waited too long to throw it away and when he did, he got it hit causing the ball to float and picked
timeout there? You let them run the 3rd down play since it had to be outside the 2 minute warning before you call time out. Anyone that has coached before knows that.
Peppers, as well. Haley and Bethea are clearly the weak spots in that secondary and are being targeted. Film doesnt lie, all teams will do the same until we change p personnel.
He wouldn't have been happy going in tied at halftime? If you get a stop, you have plenty of time without using the timeout.
Peppers can't miss that tackle. Just can't.
As much crap as Haley and the LBs might get, I am convinced Bethea is the worst giants defender.
Every time I see him he is moving backwards away from the ball carrier in space and he cant cover. It has been underreported how horrendous he has been.

If Peppers made the tackle we would have the ball.
They're a second half team, just like Philly. We all know the Giants record against Philly during the past decade.
The Pats will make their changes during halftime, I just hope the Giants D can hold them back.
I remember McAdoo talking about long strides short strides - I had no idea what he was talking about. Then someone on BBI explained that a defender needs to close the distance to a ballcarrier with long strides, but to make the tackle he needs to keep his strides short, maintain his balance and wrap.
Our guys just want to make hero plays -- and they miss.

Simulcast on Fox
Thanks, but working late. Killjoys that they are, they frown on watching tv at the desk, kinda want the focus to be on work. If it was the damn Broncos it would be a different story I bet...!

I didnt like the timeout either. Youre on the road vs the Pats tied 14-14. You get the ball to start the second half. Youre playing a tough defense. The smart play was to let the clock run and not get cute trying to get another 30 seconds on a possession.
Missed worse than Peppers on that 3rd down just before the 2 minute warning. He was second in and just elbowed him instead of trying to wrap. Peppers wrapped but lost his balance.

But what did the TO cost us??
The Pats didn't draw up a play that burnt us. It was a missed tackle.
There is still over two minutes left, so it isn't like the Pats were going to struggle with the clock.
It gave us a chance to get the ball back and would have been successful if Peppers made the play.

you don't coach the game you're not in. The D in THIS game had been doing pretty well. The TO was a good call if Peppers doesn't just whiff. In the end, it made almost no difference at all with the Pats having all 3 anyway.

+1 I think half the people here just talk shit. It makes me laugh at some of the comments.
but I think it's really not debatable that it was the wrong call. Why bother calling it on 3rd? You wait and see if you hold, and if you do you call it after. The extra cost is a few seconds that might have been crucial to the Giants if they somehow managed to hold them to a FG there.
were back in business otherwise the
game gets away from us ....
Can't complain DEFENSE HAS HAD A GOOD SHOWING

If you stop them on third you also take a time out then. If you aren't willing to do that, then calling one on 2nd is stupid.
total amateur hour by Shurmur. If they get the hold on 3rd down, youre still outside 2 minutes and you call the timeout then. Calling it before 3rd down was just plain dumb. Not the first time Shurmur has botched clock management.
228 yards allowed and people are singing the D's praises?
Lots of negativity cast as realism on this thread. Giants are starting from bottom, from the smoldering ruins. And they are giving the World Champions all they can handle, extremely short handed, with a rookie QB.
You know how many teams have gotten steamrolled and humiliated by this machine? Yeah Haley sucks, Peppers cant tackle blah blah. But if thats your main takeaway from the first half ....

The prerequisite Timeout bitch..laughable every week.

Huh? I'm not sure we saw the same play. Peppers overran the play and barely got an arm on him. He was nowhere near a wrap up.
Yes, I've watched a defense that can't tackle to save its life let NE march right down the field and score before halftime. Which game did you watch?
Yeah they reverted that last drive. But they forced two turnovers, scored, and another turnover on downs. The other td they gave was on a very short field after a pick. Ill take that
problem with that throw is that it looked like Jones could have stepped up and run. That was a better gamble than that throw.
Yup, what I thought above as well. Kinda thought as much last game too fwiw. Don't want him to run too much, but if like on that last play they just leave him, he has to take that every now and again just to open up more throwing lanes & give receivers a little more room to work
And it has nothing to do with the delivery of the ball (ie weather) and everything to do with processing the field
What a horrible take.
You think he has played well tonight. All three interceptions were because he misread the play. First interception, he threw into a window with a tight end nearby so any mistake would get picked off. Second, he held on to the ball way too long, third int he didnt see the DB. But please tell me how he has read the field well tonight

Hes ot playing well. He takes a step forward, and then three steps back
Betcher calls the right D, 10 guys play it perfect and he does that bonehead play. He'll just bump the hell, out of him within five yards and we're good. Even a blind official could've seen that mugging, and to do it to their too WR makes it even dumber.
think Jones is forcing throws in a desperate attempt to spark the offense. It explains why he held he ball so long on the second INT, and is throwing into very tight windows when the better decision would be to run or throw it away. He knows the defense is tired and is playing inspired football.
Not too bothered by Jones' interceptions. Some rookie mistakes. I like seeing Jones attacking. Parcells used to say if you aren't throwing any interceptions, you aren't taking enough chances. We were supposed to get destroyed. We don't have a lot to lose in this game.
has 3 INT but he really has nowhere to throw the ball and is being forced to throw into tight windows because nobody is getting any separation. His stats look bad but i rather him at least try to push the ball down the field then to checkdown and not even give the team a shot

He is about 7.5 ypa which you can't ask for much more, a bad read and a rookie mistake on the throwaway.
We've seen the best the offense can do, and it isn't much. We not surprisingly can't sustain drives with no running game and receivers who can't separation.
And there is a wide open Edelman. Terrible zone coverage.
are some of the worst I've ever seen. Most one sided game I can remember watching. They have decided the outcome of so many plays. Let's just hope it doesn't end up being the game.

Defense played good enough to win offense can't sustain drives. Pat's have Bal twice as long
get Barkley the ball when hes in there but 4th quarter in a tight game against the Pats he has no problem going non stop to Hilliman. This guy has got to go.
completely sucks.. But, Jones is playing like a rookie right now. The previous play he should have tucked it away and run. Get some yards and don't risk a big play turnover.
basically destroyed ourselves with turnovers. We'd probably be ahead without them, especially if we had played Love and Ballentine on defense instead of Haley and Stupar.
We had no game plan. I know we're missing a lot of players on offense, and Jones is a rookie, but a good coach has a plan, or at least makes adjustments.
Is embarrassing for letting a guy like Hillman play in a game like this.. This is why I want Shurmur fired. Period. I wanna almost say he is worse the Mcadoo.. smh
no reason to keep Hilliman. We'll get Gallman or Barkley back for Arizona. I'd also cut or at least bench Haley. Teams have been picking on him relentlessly since the beginning of the season.
The last interception may have been zone. In zone they are supposed to cover the receiver in their zone. It looked like there was no one else in that zone.
Is embarrassing for letting a guy like Hillman play in a game like this.. This is why I want Shurmur fired. Period. I wanna almost say he is worse the Mcadoo.. smh
Who else? Hilliman was Gallmans back up. Its unfortunate, but we just do not have the depth.
the rest of this coaching staff all need to go. This is inexcusable. Shurmur is just as bad at playcalling and personnel decisions as McAdoo. He's a complete idiot. Nothing we do lines up with what Gettleman says he wants his team doing either. This team is lost. Our players are fighting and that's the only reason we're in the game. Feel bad for them with these coaches.

One of the worst coaching decisions I can remember.
On this thread, blaming DG, the giants werent winning this game by any means. They put in a good showing you knew you were gonna be 2-4 and you move on. See if they can get to 5+5 by the bye.
Pat Shumur has shown he is not the coach to lead this team going forward. The questionable calls, challenges, timeouts and now punting when your defense is fucking gased trailing by 14... Just doesn't inspire at all.
They were going deep on first and nobody was open.
The Pats brought the house on 3rd.
What are you guys looking for?
E actly.
They are blaming shurmur because he is easiest target
The fact this was even a game for 3+ quarters is a credit to shurmur and the heart the team has
I have no problem with how Shurmur prepares this team. They often come into games ready to go.
When the game light come on, there are coaches that know what buttons to push to win and then there are those who don't. I think Shurmer is the latter.
What's working for this team is those quick 6 routes, sprinkled in with some 3s, 4s and 8s. The inside run has not worked, the screen play has not worked. You have to take some shots.
How do you not understand the risk of giving the ball back to the Patriots is MUCH MUCH higher than going for it on 4th and 2? You are down 14 points, there are 8 minutes left. Youre not punting, stopping them, getting the ball back and scoring, stopping them again, then scoring again. Take a fucking small chance Pat for fucks sake.
I have been willing to give Shurmur the benefit of the doubt til now, but after not going for it on 4th and 2, I am have serious reconsiderations about our coach.
I have Zero idea because I didnt see him make one play, in fact he is always behind the play and is not sticking his nose in there either. How is a Safety always tailing the play?!

Has Shurmur ever called a timeout that wasn't embarrassing?
That was an awful decision. The sequence that led to the Hilliman fumble was just as bad. Team played hard and they were in it halfway through the 4th, so there's that but this was a horrible quarter by Shurmur.
If I was Mara I would think about firing this clown tomorrow. It is clearly evident he is a losing coach. Promote Betcher and reevaluate in the offseason.
RE: RE: Ill never understand how Brady only throws
To guys who are wide open yet a guy Jones cant get a receiver one yard open
You don't understand much. Is it difficult to understand that we have no running game?
aand our WRs would be 4th and 5th receivers on other teams, they suck. Edelman is open every play. The only guy we have who seems to get separation is Slayton, but he is a raw rookie. Separaton is the job of a WR, they can all catch
that wasn't very good to begin with, starting a rookie QB in his 4th game, against Belichick at home.
We got half a game of entertaining football out of it, probably a half more than I would have expected.
The bigger concern is that once again, another Giants season will likely be dead before October is out. Even without the injuries and rookie QB, the roster isn't very good and the coaching staff is no great shakes. Mediocrity would be the ceiling at this point.
its a great way to let your team know you dont fully believe in them to get 2 freakin yards and try to somehow win this hard fought game. Nah just punt it and go down quietly
It doesn't make the officiating better it just makes it even more subjective. Now the officials have to determine what degree of obvious a call is to overturn.
obvious adjective
obvious | \ ˈb-vē-əs \
Definition of obvious
1 : easily discovered, seen, or understood
It was obvious that things weren't working out.
to change the rule back to make PI not subject to challenge if the officials refuse to actually review it. Now just bait to forfeit a challenge and timeout.
I had no problem with it.
Put the spotlight on the refs & how bad they fucking suck & how shitty this new review system is....that we only got because the refs fucking suck. Time is a flat circle or some shit.
If you're going to quit on the game then I'm done with it if you don't get a call.
Shurmur should be paying for his own flight home.
Yep. People need to ask themselves if they can ever envision Shurmur raising a Lombardi trophy. If the answer is no, hes not the guy. I sure as hell dont see it.
Midway through the 4th only down 7....but then the fumble and the pass to Edelman sealed it.
Oh well....Pats were blitzing on every play even at the end. Danny did as well as you could expect seeing he has no pass catching weapons, no running game, and a mediocre OL. Yes, he had a few interceptions that were not good but what can you say? Hes trying to make plays....
What I didnt like was him giving up his body to try to stop that guy from going in the end zone at the one yard line. Its not worth it Danny.

I could envision Shurmur raising a Lombardi trophy. He would be the final inspector at Tiffany and Co, before it is boxed and shipped.
Pretty cool

Who else other than Barkley on our offense isnt a JAG?
I dont disagree Penny is a JAG, but what I have seen in his limited snaps is that he might have pushed forward for the first down.
what a joke
REFS SUCK BALLS
challenge what?
Do we have any other RBs?
He seems rattled
They are putting him behind the eight ball running Hilliman. You are lucky if he gets more than 3 yards on a run.
we have zero chance
welcome to the upper tier of play DJ.

Wtf was that call on Giants? And why didnt Shurmur challenge?

Eh nuttiin. The refs just suck.
Ellison was hit in the helmet blindside. Brady crumpled to teh ground as he was being legally blocked.
such bullshit. That cost us 3 points

Shurm pulling a reeeves on him
They never showed us a penalty on golden.
Hes throwing into tight windows. Receivers arent helping him either.
Was there any clarification? Did they just throw a flag and make up a penalty?
He has no offense dumbass. Of course he's going to look a bit off kilter. He's not a magician. We have zero weapons.

Receiver getting no separation (what else is new), and Jones making rookie mistakes.
Yup.
Not sure about that. Just looked like he caught and turned his head. Don't think he took more than a step.
Agreed...Thomas pulled it out!
Nope
What happened to letting it play out and stuff?

Also you can tackle a player out of bounds too.
F these officials.
Ten yards right now might as well be ten light years.
It's up to you coach. Think of something.
Good point
There wasnt enough on the replay to overturn that. Just another emotional heat of the moment move by Shurmur.
Were playing defeated
Dixon kicked it right off Stupar. Is that like the "butt fumble?"
Textbook BB.

He was off the team, and then the entire LB'ing core got injured..
Yep
Things I learned on BBI today: HC has nothing to do with defense, yep yep yep
@PLeonardNYDN
RB Brandon Bolden was the one who drove Stupar back. That right there, folks, is a Giants' personnel issue.
He's a difference maker.
Throw. Throw. Throw.
That is all.
His only other option is calling a screen to Hilliman..not really have much to choose from.
what till BB makes adjustments at half time, will be like a stampede.
What are you expecting the Giants to do?
If you haven't noticed, Brady is struggling to make accurate throws and it isn't like we have a dynamic RB to use

Please don't quote that smarmy POS Leonard. The game is bad enough without having to read his tripe.
So true. Shurmurs smh..
FIRST AND SECOND RB
BEST target at TE
and one of top 2 WRs
all with a rookie qb in 4th game. tell me who would produce against the number 1 defense in football?
the giants have little to NO chance tonight.

maybe, but considering the laundry list of trash FA signings...i have my doubts. He is also redundent with shepard...which is another reason the signing made no sense
I think I heard that they have not overturned any PI challenges this year.
The NFL only put the rule in to shut up the whiny NO fans, to act like they care. Can't blame them.
The PI review rule is a farce. I would only try it if desperate.

not a farce, a rule used to hide their corruption last year on that play.

It is the weather! Why are people acting as if downfield plays are there for the taking when you can see the impact?

Agreed. Rookie woefully undermanned in Foxboro was more likely than not gonna be this game. He will grow from it.
Cant be any worse, could it?! Theyre the future and so why not give them reps now?
He had a good shot to make the stop there, went high and whiffed. I hope this is the last year we see him in Blue.
By throwing interception numero 3
Hes getting no help, throwing into tight windows and wind clearly affecting throws on both sides. Even the Goat having his problems.
Ballentine was arguably our best defensive player during preseason. Surprised he hasnt seen much action so far this season.
-on the road
-terrible weather
-skeleton crew on offense
-the most innovative defensive coach in league history on the other sideline
Deck was stacked heavily against him tonight.
show me a rookie qb in 4th game who would perform without his best RB best target
he is missing not just the starting RB but the backup too.

I guess you could argue he was looking for flags but I hate the backwards walk in.

I'm surprised that doesn't draw a flag.
jackass move..not the opposing team to do that to.
On anotehr note, Golden beat newhouse easily for hi sack but has since lined up on the other side. Why not keep him going against Newhouse? The pass rush has been invisible since that one sack.
It is not about "early". We suck to much to showboat. I mean...we are playing the best team in the league.
But gotta love the deep ball to TATE against a superb defensive secondary.
Yep, they should have "opened" it up earlier into the wind.

Yes. Coming off an ACL in 2017.
I still think we lose but I didn't think we'd score 14 the rest of the game.
yes. He played for Arizona for 4 years, and signed with the Giants for 1-year 3.75 M. 2nd round pick in 2015.
LOL
He has been having a good game so far.
He threw behind Tate and it got tipped and picked. On second isnt, he waited too long to throw it away and when he did, he got it hit causing the ball to float and picked
Peppers has been a bright spot on Defense. Would have loved to see him make that tackle but he was committed to the left then the guy went right.
Simulcast on Fox
First was a tip volleyed up in the air for grabs, the other was his arm hit while trying to throw out of bounds
The TO was in anticipation of getting the ball back before the 2 minute warning. Shurmur should have known that Peppers would miss the next tackle.
Peppers can't miss that tackle. Just can't.
Every time I see him he is moving backwards away from the ball carrier in space and he cant cover. It has been underreported how horrendous he has been.
timeout there? You let them run the 3rd down play since it had to be outside the 2 minute warning before you call time out. Anyone that has coached before knows that. [/quotve]

He's playing great. Lawrence too. Hill has been quiet so far this year.
The Pats will make their changes during halftime, I just hope the Giants D can hold them back.

34 seconds left, with 1 time out. You can't do anything with that.
It's just like BB to think like you. Take the time off teh clock and run an extra play.
Actually... no. They don't practice tackling much anymore. They barely get to practice the right way in pre-season either due to the new rules.

I didnt like the timeout either. Youre on the road vs the Pats tied 14-14. You get the ball to start the second half. Youre playing a tough defense. The smart play was to let the clock run and not get cute trying to get another 30 seconds on a possession.

Yup, what I thought above as well. Kinda thought as much last game too fwiw. Don't want him to run too much, but if like on that last play they just leave him, he has to take that every now and again just to open up more throwing lanes & give receivers a little more room to work

Truly awful.
Betcher calls the right D, 10 guys play it perfect and he does that bonehead play. He'll just bump the hell, out of him within five yards and we're good. Even a blind official could've seen that mugging, and to do it to their too WR makes it even dumber.

The Pats brought the house on 3rd.
What are you guys looking for?
If youre dead set on running a screen what about a WR screen to a decent player who can run after the catch in Tate.
Theres no excuse to keep running that shitty screen to Hilliman. He sucks and it hasnt worked all night.

Name me one team in the league who has a quality 3rd team RB?
NE, Eagles are two I can think of off op of my head.
Neither time did guy have good separation.
There isn't much shurmur or Jones can do.....#1 defense without our best 3 offensive players

The Pats, The Niners, The Colts, The Chiefs, The Cgargers.. should i go on?
It's true. Shurmur forgets that Barkley is on the team, but a scrub off the practice squad? Feed him the ball.

You could not punt
God, he sucks as a game manager.
I get they have no one , but please call some plays downfield or run the other rookie!!!
Pathetic ! Defense fighting their asses off!

FLAG?
Doodoo job by the refs on that. Slayton's arm was being pulled down.
Jenkin's pulls that same shit on Edleman and flags fly
Perkins is so great hes gotten zero snaps with DET
Skeered Shemur punts ffs.
really with barkley, sheppard, engram, and gallman out?
Awful.

playcalls do you want?

You have to play to win.
he's trying to play we were close card...he's a clown
Awful.
Lost our final, albeit minimal shot at th game
The D isn't giving up they've been on the field waaay too much.
And now he taking timeouts. Hes not only gutless hes a moron too.
That is the difference between BB and Shurmur.
That is the difference between BB and Shurmur.
If only that were the only difference.
ANY team would come in here with NOBODY on offense and rook at QB against #1 d in league and lose by 30
No Barkley
No shep
No engram
No gallman
Rook on game 4
Young struggling defense
On road
Against the goat
And #1 d
We played tough. Onto next week where whoever we play seems like a high school team in comparison to this week where we had an INSANE uphill battle
We were at our own 28. That's not a clear cut call.
WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE !!!!
We were at our own 28. That's not a clear cut call.
4th & 2. Come on FMiC, youre smarter than this. If the idea was to win the game, you 1000% go for it there.
Of course NE drives it right down the field.
AWFUL decision.
We were at our own 28. That's not a clear cut call.
Yes it is. They went from having a very slim chance to zero chance of winning the game. You have to try to pick up 2 yes there. Hes a joke of a Coach.
We were at our own 28. That's not a clear cut call.
You absolutely go for it there if you want to win.
whatever...
This is why Jones shouldn't "give Shurmur one more year". The quality of the roster doesn't matter when the fucking coaching staff is incompetent.
They wont even give Love a chance. He should be playing. They arent a playoff team
"We're getting better. That's the goal." - Shurmur, at the podium tonight
Have the Giants ever had a head coach who was so proud of losing as Shurmur is?

are among the league leaders in going for it on 4th down. You guys make it sound like he's trying to lose.

Especially with the defense gassed. Double the possession time or close to it.
I have Zero idea because I didnt see him make one play, in fact he is always behind the play and is not sticking his nose in there either. How is a Safety always tailing the play?!
He doesn't *only* throw, but he sure does get a lot of open looks, and for most of his career from WRs that wouldn't amount to jack shit elsewhere.
Of course, you know who to thank for that...
Should have went for it but to blame him for entire game is wildly unfair... [/quote
Mentality is huge and we play not to lose and our coach emotionally reacts too much when it comes to challenge or not challenge.. Pat Shurmur does NOT inspire.

Please preserve this post. Speaks volumes.
I'm not confident he's a good coach.
But outside of that punt decision, this isn't on him. The bitching about the playcalling is terrible.

Nicely put +1
You don't understand much. Is it difficult to understand that we have no running game?
Sorry, it bothers me.
Has Shurmur ever called a timeout that wasn't embarrassing?
Quote:
To guys who are wide open yet a guy Jones cant get a receiver one yard open
You don't understand much. Is it difficult to understand that we have no running game?
His entire career Brady has guys wide open.
Picking up 2 yards is always going to be easier.
By punting it, you are hoping you can get a 3 and out and then score 2 TD's in 5 and a half minutes without any timeouts left.
If you don't get a 3 and out, it's now 2 TD's in under 3.5 minutes without any timeouts...
Not to mention, onside kicks are virtually impossible with the new kickoff rule.
Punting there was conceding the game.

aand our WRs would be 4th and 5th receivers on other teams, they suck. Edelman is open every play. The only guy we have who seems to get separation is Slayton, but he is a raw rookie. Separaton is the job of a WR, they can all catch

You are comparing a rookie in his 4th game to the greatest QB of all time. He had better WRs than Golden Tate too
QB learned. Shorthanded. They were in the game into the end of the third.
What a fucking joke. Pathetic.
What a fucking joke. Pathetic.
And now were challenging
Maybe he should go on IR and try Gates. Hes not helping at this, point.
Gus are the fucking worse
Imagine going at Brady low ....
Bingo
Mike Pereira says there's obvious, but then there's OBVIOUS
Much worse than the missed PI
Shurmur should be paying for his own flight home.

but if you're going to overturn one, that's obvious

Wtf does that mean? If its DPI, its DPI. He clearly grabbed him before the ball got there, how is that not OBVIOUS!
obvious | \ ˈb-vē-əs \
Definition of obvious
1 : easily discovered, seen, or understood
It was obvious that things weren't working out.
Besides the illegal contact, Tate was hit from behind and wrapped up. If that is not PI, then PI should be removed from the rules.
The Pats are getting Seahawk treatment - they are committing PI and daring the refs to call it.

t was obvious. this rule is just confusing everyone. if they can't change that one then whatever.. just scrap the PI challenge
I had no problem with it.
Put the spotlight on the refs & how bad they fucking suck & how shitty this new review system is....that we only got because the refs fucking suck. Time is a flat circle or some shit.
Shurmur should be paying for his own flight home.
You are just a miserable person and need to get another team or another hobby.
Danny Boy is coming though
Shurmur should be paying for his own flight home.
Yep. People need to ask themselves if they can ever envision Shurmur raising a Lombardi trophy. If the answer is no, hes not the guy. I sure as hell dont see it.

If you aren't miserable as a Giant fan you're delusional.
