Sterling Shepard

Is great. We missed him tonight on those third and mediums when he's usually good for a first.

Tate had a big night stats wise. But I felt Shep's absence. I'm glad they extended him.
Shep is pretty good

IMO, he's a modern day Chris Calloway.
Agree but...

Concussions, bunched so early...Kind of alarming.
He is better then Tate

The WRs need to do better on those 50/50 throws...they must want it more

I would not play him again this year. Not worth risking his career or more importantly his health. Slayton, Tate and Engram if all healthy can be a good group.

He's probably one concussion away from being forced to retire.

This is the issue. 50/50 balls we came down with a whopping 1!!! Horrible job by our wr to fight for positioning. Tate was especially guilty of this a few times but with a QB like jones who throws tight window throws often we need wr who are tough and high point the ball. Latimer invisible. Slayton a rookie but he did a poor job as well of fighting back to the ball.

WR is certainly a high priority add for next year, We are so cursed at the position when it comes to career ending injuries.

Receivers are not good. Ellison also terrible. Need a legit outside guy. Slayton can be a #2.

Why was Ellison terrible?
Ellison

Ran terrible route (rounded it) on the INT and didn’t compete for the ball IMO.
I agree
5BowlsSoon : 10/11/2019 8:28 am : link
Ellison looks slow and has no quick cuts. How good is that latest TE we signed? I hope the Giants see something in him that is very positive. I would like to see us p,aging these guys down the road. We know what we have with Ellison.....mediocrity.

I do not want to be rude but not playing him this year is ridiculous. If he is medically cleared and healthy, his risk of further injury is not reduced by waiting to play next year. You do not play him again if he does not heal.

This. It was a bad read and a late throw, but Ellison has to help his QB out there. Can't allow the INT
From what I remember
crick n NC : 10/11/2019 9:01 am : link
On the Ellison pick the pats showed single high safety which would indicate cover 1 or cover 3. Right at or slightly before they shifted to a two deep look which more than likely meant cover 2 man or cover 2 zone (they were in cover 2 zone). It's possible Jones didn't read his safety (Aikman's thought) and thought he would have an open receiver (Ellison).
Ellison needs to run that to the corner, and if you look
Zeke's Alibi : 10/11/2019 9:05 am : link
at the underneath routes, they didn't make sense. That was a busted play I think due to the disguise.
