Cards, @ Lions, Cowboys, "@" Jets.
If we get the horses back-Saquon, Engram, etc.-I don't see any reason why we can't win any of those games, Dallas included at home on MNF. I'm not counting on Shepard because I expect him to be out awhile with that 2nd concussion.
A 5-5 record @ the bye is totally reasonable.
Gotta believe baby!
I'm not ready to wave the white flag on this season just yet.
Cards don't scare me. the Lions do. they've played hard this year despite the tie game with the Cards week 1.
it'd be great coming out 2-0 from those games going into the Dallas game healthy at 4-4
Are you kidding me?
And what is it about our defense that makes you think we can stop the #1 offense in the NFL that's averaging 462 yards per game?
Our defense is #31, letting up an average of 412 yards per game.
The wheels were coming off for the Vikings too. The Giants are a get-healthy game for good teams.
We lost on road to Pats and Dallas - not unexpected
We won at Tampa and beat Redskins - not unexpected
I had hoped we would split with Vikings and Bills.
The best we could have reasonably hoped for was 4-2. The realistic target was 3-3. We are 2-4. I agree with the OP that the next 4 games (including Dallas) are winnable. I think we need to go 3-1 to be in contention.
As far as expectations - the defense is improving, we are getting some players back (Barkley, Gallman, Shepard, Engram, Beal).
I would be very disappointed with 1-3. I expect 2-2, which would essentially end any playoff hopes. 3-1 is very possible. 4-0 is not out of the question but I am not thinking we are consistent enough to play good in 4 straight games.
Two wild cards are not coming from the NFCE, no way, no how.
And it's looking very questionable whether a 9-7 team will make a wild card in the NFC this year.
4-0 or, at the least, 3-1 with a win over Dallas for NYG to be in contention, given the schedule after the bye.
(playoffs? playoffs?)

When I rewatched the Cowboys game I came away with the distinct impression we could have won if it weren't for Bethea, Ogletree, Antonio Hamilton, and Eli. 2 of those 4 are gone and hopefully Bethea joins their ranks by the time we get there.
Im feeling the same ..
Until we are healthy were gonna have trouble moving
the ball . I like what our defense did last night
and Ogletree with 12 tackles and a sack was good to have him
back Mayo with 13 tackles and a half sack played
his ass off and packed a punch great game for him .
Baker is getting more confident Lawrence is becoming
a force Golden great pick up . I hope they add Buckannon
give them some flexability in moving Bethea out of
the FS position ,
The Jets are in a different sphere of suckitude. That’s a win. Beating the Lions would be a pretty big upset.
DVOA week 5 - ( New Window )
I look at it this way, win the layups and then find a way to steal 1-2 games against the upper remaining on the schedule. Big if but that gets you to 8-8 with some enjoyable moments.
Luke Falk was utterly hopeless. They would have went 0-16 with him.
We can and should beat Arizona. That's a game I need to see us win to validate the idea that we're at least trending upwards a bit. If we lose that game and this season is just going to be one step forward, one step backwards - then the coach should probably lose his job. Fair or not.
I do think 2-2 is reasonable to expect over the next 4 games. 3-1 would be wonderful, but I'd be surprised.
3-1 is probably necessary to make our season 'interesting'
Well they have won two of them thus far. 2-2. Hope it continues. Getting a live body back on offense wouldn’t hurt.
For years now I've been trying to figure out why this board consistently has such an overinflated view of the Cowboys.

Probably has something to do with our recent record against them.
Though the Giants are a bad team.
Bad teams lose many games "they could've won." As for Pats game let's not get carried away with the defense. They are still an enormous - enormous enormous question.
They are just as likely to go 1-3 as they are 3-1.
