It's time to play Julian Love over Bethea and Ballentine should see snaps on defense. If he isn't a good fit in the slot use him outside in certain packages with Jenkins in the slot.
He played 1 defensive snap, as did Julian Love. Don't recall hearing either name so they must've done their jobs on those snaps!
FWIW, our 2-down run stopper continued seeing more playing time and was on the field for 76% of the D snaps. Had the D been able to get off the field (or the O actually moved the ball), that percentage may have been higher as he essentially played a full game (62 snaps). Link - ( New Window )
and noteworthy for those blasting Shurmur's "personnel decisions" is that Slayton is the clear #2 WR (#3 when Shepard's healthy) now. He and Tate played 49 of the 50 offensive snaps with Latimer only out there for 23.

yes, Latimer project is over.
-He creates no separation
-makes slow lazy cuts
-and doesn't block nearly as well as he should for his size

Couldn't agree more. I was hoping this would be the year that the light went on. Unfortunately, that light is broken beyond repair. I don't see any separation either and after 5 or 6 years, we're probably not going to see any in year 7 or 8. That train has left the station.
That doesnt mean he played defensive snaps at CB.

Maybe they sent those guys in for the last kneel down?
