Giants work out 3 RBs

Big Rick in FL : 10/11/2019 4:32 pm
They worked out CJ Anderson, Akeem Hunt & Buck Allen today. Definitely wouldn't mind the CJ Anderson signing.
I would have like Anderson 2 games ago

.
2 weeks too late

Me thinks
CJ
TommyWiseau : 10/11/2019 4:35 pm : link
Is leagues better then Hilliman and any other schlep we are trotting out there
Gallman or Barkley
djstat : 10/11/2019 4:37 pm : link
May be out longer
I mean I would definitely have brought in Anderson
Essex : 10/11/2019 4:40 pm : link
two weeks ago. I mean I would definitely be working out Ajaye, I understand he has durability concerns, but if he is anything like he used to be, its better than Hillman and we don't need him for very long either. The whole RB thing has been terribly mismanaged, imo.
I don’t understand how someone like CJ Anderson doesn’t have a job.
cosmicj : 10/11/2019 4:43 pm : link
He’s a capable and experienced but not brilliant runner.

The only rational explanation is that the vet minimum salary is pricing him out of a job.

Amen Shurmur should have done that the minute Barkley was
officially declared out for the game .
too little too late

barkley had the ankle weeks ago. maybe some of these guys would have looked better than hiliman last night. shurmur or gettleman asleep at the wheel here

They had Wayne Gallman. Whose a pretty similar caliber player to CJ Anderson.

i agree. this is some lazy roster management
Buck

Allen is good and can catch.

Why not do this instead after SB got hurt? Gallman and Penny weren't enough.
It's about time..

One wonders if SB might miss the AZ game with this news...
After last week's game there is no reason
Chris L. : 10/11/2019 4:59 pm : link
that Hillman should have played last night and it cost us big time. Another guy who obviously should not be on the team is Nate Stupar and off course he cost us big time as well. These little roster mismanagements lead me to question some of the decisions by out GM and coach.

I don't think it has anything to do with Barkley. Think it has more to do with Gallman missing time and Hilliman sucking.

i think it's on shurmur more than gettleman. gettleman likely asked shurmur if he wanted to get another RB, shurmur must've said he was comfortable with gallman , hilliman and penny. gettleman could have overrode him i guess, but i dont put this one on the GM

Correct, Barkley more than likely will play versus the Cardinals so they just wanted a better backup in case Gallman couldn't play.

I hope they re-sign Austin Walter to the PS but move on from Hilliman.
the instant gallman was injured they should have begun this process
Torrag : 10/11/2019 5:17 pm : link
There's no excuse for Hilliman manning the starting RB role the past two games. None.
Even if Barkley is able
Ike#88 : 10/11/2019 5:39 pm : link
to go against Arizona, ankles can be reinjured. Better get someone in no matter what as the personel there now is not getting it done.
Why people blame Shurmur
uther99 : 10/11/2019 6:53 pm : link
is beyond me. DG is the GM.

What? You just literally made up an entire sequence of events based on who you want to blame.

Here’s who i blame: EVERYONE in the organization. There was no excuse not to have a viable 3rd option and cutting Perkins was fucking dumb.
I'm not worried
Coach Red Beaulieu : 10/11/2019 7:41 pm : link
Bbi told me RBs are fungible.

Can you name me a worse off the street RB anyone has ever started? Meanwhile Shermer
