if paxton would have just lasted like 5 or so we would have been in such better shape because our pen>theirs and our lineup>theirs. we got exactly what we wanted vs verlander. we got a couple of runs and go him out in decent time. shame we dont have more arms avail now. need to hope JL holds it down

We're definitely missing Stanton in there tonight. Not only does he add to a pitcher's street level but he stretches our lineup out a bit too and pushes everyone down a spot.

He was literally hoping for Chapman leaves one over the plate. Listen to how excited he gets when something good happens for the Astros and how quiet he gets when it's the reverse.
I'm not hearing the anti-Yankee bias. If you remember, when Lemahieu was thrown out at home he said "Unfortunately the Astros made a perfect play." To me if anything that sounded pro-Yankees to me, literally saying "Unfortunately..." I think what's confusing is the way he talks it can just sound like he's "rooting" for something to happen when really he's just speaking from the perspective of one team or the other. I think fans are just sensitive to every little word from the announcers when they're stressed out by a game.

This game isn't his finest hour, but something tells me you're a parachute in when the playoffs start only type of fan. Because even if you disagree with the way it's been managed today, if you watched consistently at any point over the past 2 years you would never say he's terrible at managing a bullpen

Is the offense has to do something. Going to the pen so early is tough but the made 1 bad pitch in 6 plus innings. We're in the 10th. So far our offense is not coming through.
