Didn't really watch the whole thing just wanted to get his thoughts on the first interception and third interceptions.

I went over it on Sy's game review thread, but I hate the route combination with the splits we ran. You are asking your QB to make an unnecessarily hard throw for what doesn't seem like a whole lot to gain. Maybe they think with the reduced split Tate can beat the FS and score? I don't know it still leaves me scratching my head. The timing on the route needs to be absolutely perfect with a perfect throw. If he puts the ball on the money there it gets deflected up by the underneath linebacker.

Also it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that BB was going to show man play zone and vice versa. How about some motion to help out your rookie QB. You can see him get kind of hesitant on the third pick, but hopefully with experience he overthrows it out of bounds instead of underthrowing it into coverage.

You're wanting to hit the slant on the other side of Ellison. You run that slant close to Ellison to partially lick the defender giving tate room on the other side of the route.

Not necessarily. The other defender is too close inside, Tate should have a step. I know slants are typically thrown out of the break, but it isn't a rule.
But the FS is standing right there enabling him to make a play

Plays don't always draw the coverage they intend to.

The linebacker on the other side won't be much help to a sprinting tate.
Slayton is running a slant, the safety is breaking on that ball

Plus a long developing slant gives plenty of time for recovery. I see the point of the tighg split is to have the corner line up outside of Tate to protect the sideline because that is generally where that route combo is going to be, but its a very very difficult throw.
Second pic bothered me the most

Held it too long hoping someone breaks free. I’d rather see him take off when it ain’t happening.

That one honestly didn't bother me at all because that is just a rookie mistake plain and simple. Unless your Jameis Winston than that is a year 5 mistake. Guys are bigger and faster in the NFL and from what we seen from DJ he likes to hold onto the ball as long as possible, but with experience that will be an easy throw away.

I hope you are right Zeke. I’d still rather see him take off rather than throw it away.

A clue about the inside details and assignments of the plays just like Mike said in the video. What I expressed was an idea of possible execution.

You can treat a slant as a drag or crossing route. Running those types of routes against man with obstacles in the way can be very effective. My point was that perhaps Ellison's job is to not only be a safe throw if he's open, but also an obstacle for routes going across the field. If the qb decides to throw out of the break, fine, if not let the receiver run off of Ellison, although the spacing of the break on the slant considering where Ellison sat down seemed off, perhaps Ellison wasn't in the correct area, or tate lined up too far inside, or a combo of both.
Terrible game planning by Shemur
Coach Red Beaulieu : 10/16/2019 10:18 am : link
Given all the conditions, you wanted a Coughlin Fabian strategy of not making mistakes and let the D, ST, or freak play win the game for you. So DJ should have been coached to (1) run, (2) throw only where a receiver can catch it (3) throw away (4) take the sack.

Its pretty clear rigid system weenie Shemur is completely incapable of adapting to situations. Seems like Betcher is improving?
Even NE defensive players

were wtf incredulous of Shemur's extraordinarily stupid gameplan of attacking Stephon Gimore ffs. Kind of like attacking Revis early in the half in the Jets game in 2011.
