First off, I have the Amazon Firestick 4k and using Kodi 19 with the Xenon skin. Also have and using IPVanish.
I've had this setup for a week and it's been solid. My one issue is buffering. I can watch 1-2 movies with no issues and that after that, it's almost unwatchable with all the buffering issues.
Only fix I have it to physically unplug the power from the firestick. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect. This will allow me to watch 1-2 movies just fine and the buffering issues start all over.
Sounds like a cache\memory issue with the device. Anyone know of a fix to either the settings of Kodi or the firestick on how to increase the cache or clear it after I've watched something. Or if anyone has any other fixes, please let me know?
But I experience the same issue and am able to clear the cache through the software rather than power cycling.

How do you clear the cache through the software? Is it in Kodi Settings or Amazon Firestick Settings?
I've done that and same issue. I know the Firestick 4k comes with only 1.5 GB of memory and this might be a clearing a cache issue.
Bockman, if you're not having the buffering issue, what version of the Kodi build are you using? Or do you use APK files?
Kodi Buffering Issues - ( New Window )
It's in the Firestick settings, and you can clear the Kodi cache (or any app) specifically.
