Super Bowl MVP calls for investigation into NFL referees...

Super Bowl MVP calls for investigation into NFL referees over calls during Lions-Packers game.

As I said before, the spectre is there regarding gambling.

Again I am not accusing. I am saying that the public has absolutely no visibility into how much gambling activities and gambling associated revenues the NFL garners. There obviously are other concerns regarding officiating, but this concern exists and I insist will become more prevalent as the league attempts to institute more convoluted rules and procedures to address what they are incapable and unwilling of addressing.
Accuse away, this isn’t court

you clearly think they are doing something wrong, no shame in admitting it. Between this, the non juiced playoff baseballs, and the NBA clusterfuck sports feel very weird right now.
Didn't...

the Lions cover the spread?
Couldn't this have been covered in the other thread?

Howard also lamented that Aaron Rodgers leading the Packers to a comeback win over Lions was going to be overshadowed by the officials

well, he led the comeback win BECAUSE of the calls!
If there was ever proof

that some NFL games were fixed, it would really ruin the NFL for several years. Once fans believe the league cleaned up, it would go back to normal.
who you got?

But whose side is he on?

He went to Michigan, won Heisman there. Won Super Bowl MVP with Packers.

he said that the refs were told (paraphrasing) not to overturn PI calls on review because they didn't want coaches to throw the red flag as it was slow the pace of the game. that's F'd up. if you institute a rule, it should be implemented correctly.
How many games in NFL history had worse, more biased calls

than the 2011 NFC playoff game in Green Bay?

When the Giants went 3-0; Eli beat Aaron Rodgers, the Packers and the refs all in one go?

With a little help from Ahmad Bradshaw, the Giants defense, and the Packers' receivers Butterfingers?
Good call on that 2011 playoff game...

That game was a textbook case for officiating incompetence. It gives credibility to all the black helicopter crowd, because it was so one sided. It obviously hasn't gotten any better...

It still bothers me, even though the Giants won the game and the Super Bowl.
Writing Super Bowl MVP

instead of Desmond Howard definitely got me hooked and thinking about this very differently.

Well if a Super Bowl MVP thinks it....

is so different and credible vs

Well if Desmond Howard thinks it....

maybe you could have said Heisman Trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP calls for....

Not calling PI calls that are real is probably the most significant way a ref can influence the game (Missed first downs, the other defense can't get off the field, dictates how the game is going to be played, screws around with game plans etc...). Why would Jerha want to have the ref's have so much power over a games outcome? I don't know why its OK for the Cowboys secondary to hold on to one arm? Why do Giants receivers and Tight Ends have to either learn how to catch with one hand or with a safety holding on to both of their biceps and have alligator arms. Passing can be a real disruptor to the point spread.
