Saquon Barkley & Evan Engram have practiced fully all week. They are not on the injury report. Pat Shurmur to reporters: “I just choose not to tell you (their status) right now.” But, yes, they will play vs AZ.
Against Tampa, it seemed like there was a bunch of shotgun formations, which I think limits the threat of Saquon on the ground. I expected it to resemble the preseason offense with multi-TEs or 2 backs and lots of play-action passing (sort of like the stuff MINN killed the Giants with). Maybe it still will look like that and the shotgun formations were a team specific (Tampa) look.

#NYGiants Game Status:
Out - WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), CB Corey Ballentine (concussion)
RB Saquon Barkley, TE Evan Engram, RB Wayne Gallman, DL Olsen Pierre practiced fully
To bad Ballentine is out for this game. Arizona does a lot of 4wr sets and he would get a chance to play CB in this one. Guess we will see Antonio Hamilton instead. Maybe they will work Love in there too?
Glad the Giants didn't rely on Barkley's magical healing powers and opted for the normal, predictable time frame that unsurprisingly corresponded with him being better.
one thing. shurmur figuring out how to maximize his presence on the field is quite another.
He led the league in yards from scrimmage as a rookie.
So? How did the Giants do in metrics that actually help determine wins and losses?
Fucking relentless.
Barkley is apparently the only draft pick who contributes to his team losing.
Darnold? Chubb? Mayfield? Well, basically almost every pick in the top 10 - useless. They aren't putting up any "metrics" leading to wins, whatever the fuck that means.

Quite apparent only Terps has the proper plan to pick the GM and coach. But he doesn't need the GM because he will also choose the players.
Tiring.
Barkley had a great year...go see what the impact was on the team's ability to score points and win games.
I understand this is the kind of thing you guys will only start caring about if/when the Giants start doing it well. Until then it won't matter to you.
RE: Go take a look at the team's offensive stats last year Â

The most concerning part is the Giants have the best running back in football, and over the the last 22 games have been a mediocre running team.
This is not Barkley's fault at all.
This is the product of playing behind sub-par lines and getting banged up.
Now pause for a minute and genuinely examine if those are unlikely circumstances for him to operate in as a running back in the NFL.
Barkley will be more valuable if the team doesn't play from behind Â

Gallman and Pierre need to be cleared by independent neurologist today. If they are, they will be available Sunday.
Yes sir. And Engram

A sight for sore eyes.

(Along with Slayton) - that's what what Coughlin & Gilbride would do, when they had the receivers to do that.
The "X" factor at tight end is Dickerson, he's a hard hitting good hands guy who had a very good camp.

talking about this year, but yea. he had a great rookie season.

Would've been even better if he hadn't been essentially benched in Philadelphia, for example.

No. Not at all. Don't recall a single person saying that.

It would be one thing if Barkley was bad. But he's not. He's not Trent Richardson. Yet there are literally comments here saying he was a bad pick.
When in the last time a very good player was considered a bad pick? Only for certain members of our "fanbase".

In summary...50 yard passing TDs good. 50 yard TD runs don't contribute to winning.
I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure the runs are only worth 2 points.
