NFT: Ghosts, haunted places and paranormal stuff

GMAN56 : 10/19/2019 10:33 am
Being it is October, was wondering if anyone on here has ever experienced anything paranormal. See a ghost or go to a place that was supposedly haunted.

Do anyone watch any of the shows on tv (seems to be many of them now) and if so what are your favorites or least favorites.

I rented a house in Mendham NJ with some buddies

It was a tavern during George Washington era....and we had a spirit of a caretaker.

I "kind of" saw her several times. She would turn on lights..always near the kitchen or fireplace..never felt worried....but definitely convinced there was a spirit.
My sister in law

haunted my house for a couple of months but she is alive. She tried to get rid of the evil spirits but that only worked when she went home to Canada.
I wouldn't say it was a ghost, but...

One of the oddest things I ever saw was years ago when I was driving up route 287 North at night after a concert in New Brunswick and somewhere close to that area we passed by a young woman standing on the side of the highway in a part where there is just trees and the guardrails... no buildings or gas stations or anything close to civilization... clearly very upset in tears and scared dressed in what looked like green hospital scrubs or a medical gown. My mom was with me she saw her too. I hoped a state trooper would see her and help. It was eerie...who was she and why was she in such a bad spot late at night? Mom thought maybe it was a horribly cruel college hazing prank, I thought maybe she had a fight with a boyfriend and he pulled off and kicked her out of the car

Why didn’t you stop to see if she needed help?

Maybe you should have stopped?
I grew up on a farm in upstate NY
Dr. D : 10/19/2019 1:01 pm : link
Very rural area, especially considering it was only about 80 miles N of NYC. There was an old farm house not too far away where an entire family (I believe of 4) was murdered, I think back around the 1920s. The bodies were found (I believe chopped up) in different areas around the house.

The murderer was never ID'd. The area was not very populated when I grew up and was probably much less so in the 1920s. So the murderer could've been from this very small town.

The house was widely known (or thought) to be haunted.

I believe in a spiritual world that is mostly unseen, so I think it's possible.
I've never seen anything myself, but my mother

swears to this day she saw a ghost in Waterford Castle in Ireland when we all stayed on a family vacation years ago. Walked out of a painting, looked at her, and walked off. Yes she is sane. No she doesn't do any drugs.

I think this is a good place to add Eli Manning's famous line:

I was doing 70mph and she flashed by very quickly. What was I supposed to do, stop and start backing up to a complete stranger at night on a major highway? Fuck that noise. I felt badly for whoever she was but that's absolutely something for the authorities to handle

No need to justify. Picking up a stranger in the middle of the night, in the middle of no where is dangerous. Contacting the authorities is absolutely the right decision.

Sorry grandma, you just stay safe at a nice legal 55 mph or less in the right lane with hands at 10 & 2 like a proper law abiding citizen while us scofflaws go faster
