NGT: Lamar Jackson greatest Louisville player of all time?

markky : 10/19/2019 2:31 pm
Watching the Clemson game, they just had a graphic that Lamar Jackson was the greatest Louisville player of all time, with honorable mention to Tom Jackson and Johnny Unitas. Seriously Johnny Unitas is honorable mention?

Must be they are only considering college career. But it's funny seeing Johnny U as a runner up. For me he's a top 10 all time NFL'er.
Jackson was better

In his four-year career as a Louisville Cardinal, Unitas completed 245 passes for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns.
Jackson had 9043 yards passing and 69 TD's

He actually ran for more yards and TDs in college than Barkley did, and Barkley was a monster at Penn State.
Yeah.

this a a great example of the "History of Now".
Offenses have changed dramatically between Unitas and now

He didn't have anywhere near the throwing opportunities that Jackson had. There is no comparison between Unitas and Lamar now, this is silly.
