Occasional good points.
The OL did not play well, but there were times that Jones had time and could not find anyone.....what kind of routes are they running? No separation? QB?
How does EE catch 1 ball against this defense?
Bob Papa criticizing Lattimer about poor rote running.
This team is a bottom feeder across the board.

you guys need to be patient. we went from trying to win to going for a rebuild and it hasnt even been a full season...another good draft and good FA period can turn this around
So I maybe bias ... and I do respect his opinion - but, there were times that even when Jones would hold the ball for what seemed like 10 seconds and then make a completion ... he still have just thrown the ball away.
👍

Tate is doing a more than better impersonation of OBJ of the last two years.
No growth can be squarely placed on coaching. I'm sure Shemur is fucking up DJs development, he was brought here by Mara/Tisch to get Eli to throw 70% after all.
Valid points. I suspect he is pressing to make a play.
This, and if its apparent to him and pretty much anyone that watches football you gotta think DG knows too. Today was a giant game for him and he failed miserably. The coaching on this team is atrocious. We have talent some decent young talent but PS can't put it together.
He has no idea how to use a dynamic back like Barkley who can do it all. Honestly he should never be pass blocking, slip him out and make him the safety valve. For 99 percent of backs this wouldn't be smart because they probably get tackled behind line of scrimmage. With Barkley it sets up a 1 on 1 he just has to break for a big gain.
Spot on Robbie and he came close too another Two picks .
Strip sacks happen to the best of QB's but under Shumur its trending I hope they make a change at the end of the
season this is a three win team right now and I don't
think we should be .

Jones is holding the ball too long and on plays where he can get rid of it. Don't misconstrue what I am saying. The OL has not been good. However, this is becoming a trend with Jones. He wants to make a play every play. The problem with that is more often than not those types of plays lead to something negative. Taking sacks in the red zone. Throwing unforced interceptions. Taking an unnecessary hit and sometimes leading to a fumble. I can live with certain plays like his first interception but the negative plays are becoming way too frequent and a handful of times it is solely his fault. Not all the time obviously but some of the times. I don't see the growth because it seems to be getting worse.

He absolutely is but he needs to understand that throwing the ball away or something similar is not necessarily a loss. You get 4 downs for a reason and multiple possessions. Think of the NFC Championship game with Eli against the Niners. That was one of Eli's best games not because he won the game but because he didn't lose the game under insane duress. He was smart with the football all game until we were able to pull the game out. What is the old saying? More games are lost in the NFL than won?

Thinks the coaching sucks. He hasn't come out directly and said it, but you can read between the lines. The Monday morning after Vikes game with Roberts & Bro comes to mind.

I take out all HB pass blocking plays in my Madden playbook.
Having SB block is like sending Dexter Lawrence into coverage.
As usual though, the team comes out and has to desperately adjust after an another awful first quarter. To me thats indicative of poor coaching. Who the fuck knows just another shitty weather shitty performance from nyg. I cant take these games anymore.
I haven't seen Kyler Murray play outside of game 1 and today, but I'd rather Jones fuck up by trying to do too much than do what Murray did today. I think he attempted 2 passes beyond 5 yards (slight exaggeration) and connected on 0. I was utterly underwhelmed. If I were an impartial observer I'd be more impressed by the rookie that tried but failed than the one that didn't try at all. Maybe that's the play calling.
Charles Davis who criticizes coaches about as often as Paul Dottino said "too easy" when he was watching the Giants defense.
Today Greg Olsen who didn't want to say a bad word about anyone since he's a still a current player said the Giants defense plays "too soft".
Everyone knows and we haven't even gotten to the offense with the hands of god RB and the #6 pick this year and the FAs etc. who are softer than the defense.
Giants fans are in serious trouble. The owners are way too involved with the on field product and that's never going to change. The GM is way past his expiration date. The HC is on his way to a 4 NFL season run of less than 30% winning percentage.
There is no change or hope in sight.
At least we have Washington. It's going to be difficult to finish worse than them.
I always thought Elis biggest plus and biggest minus was that he never seemed to give up on a play. II think Jones needs to start learning when the play is not there and just getting the ball out, or even getting to the ground with both hands on the ball. Too many times he is getting slammed and the ball is coming out.
I agree with this. I listened to a couple games on the radio and he has said this about our Defense repeatedly.

I guess you missed my point. I said I can live with plays like the first interception. I am talking more about the mental part of the game. He is not making smart decisions.
This is exactly what Olsen said during the game. The good thing is that is a fixable problem. NOw if it doesnt get better sooner than later its a big issue.
Team misses Shepard a lot too
That said, he has been critical of Betcher in the past, specifically the first 3 games this season.
I dont think Carl would do that to Shurmur. I think they were college teammates.

On Benigo and roberts after week 2 he said it was a scheme problem.
I was hoping to rise to mediocrity and be a team on the upswing, but after today I see zero improvement over the last several years....draft position is what we have to look forward to.
It is a short list, and I don't think Gruden belongs on it.
Kitchens?
When you play man to man, the DBs often have their backs to the line of scrimmage and cannot support the run as easily.
Still even with playing zone, ours is far too soft

The Cards kept getting first downs by running routes unimpeded to the first down marker (regardless of distance) and turning around with a Giants defender way too far off to close in time. The shit was getting ridiculous. On a 4th down play, the Cards ran a bunch formation and two of the Giants defenders went with the same receiver and Mayo just let the TE go on the shallow cross until it was too late. Easy first down.
IDK what the hell is going on.
I also think we win if Jones stays upright a bit more. The dominance of our OL by their DL late in the game was pathetic.
I still can't believe the Giant sued the 2nd pick in the draft on a RB.
