Is it time to put Slade in for Solder? Left tackle continues to be a weak position, and so far after 7 games it looks like Solder isn’t the player he once was. At this point there’s no risk in finding out what Slade can do - he showed promise in August, let’s see him in a real game.
Usually there's a reason that backups are backups.
We have a young QB playing on a team that is filled with holes. This is not the time to put in a journeyman at LT because even though Solder is struggling he is still a better option than the backups.
The Giants need to invest heavily in OT this offseason. IMO it's our biggest need at the moment. Protecting our franchise QB has to be the main priority going into the offseason.
I think his shoulder never fully healed from earlier in the year.
