Here's the top 11:
1. CIN 0-7
2. MIA 0-6
3. WAS 1-6
4. ATL 1-6
5. NYJ 1-4
6. NYG 2-5
7. LAC 2-5
8. DEN 2-5
9. CLE 2-4
10. MIA (via PIT) 2-4
11. TB 2-4
The Giants 16 opponents (division opponents count twice) will have a record of 51-55 (.481) after the Sunday and Monday night games. That works well for getting NYG a tiebreak advantage for draft order, especially if the NFC East continues to do badly. Note that there are future games (such as tonight and tomorrow) that will pull the SOS towards .500.
Note that these exciting matchups should generate wins by the bottom teams:
CIN-MIA
CIN-NYJ
MIA-NYJ
MIA-NYJ
NYJ-WAS
And the Giants have 3 games against teams with fewer wins than them
NYG-MIA
NYG-WAS
NYG-NYJ
Note that NYJ have 4 games on this list.
Also that ATL is on their own - they aren't playing any of the 0 or 1 win teams.
From DeMatha high school in Maryland right across the border from DC. Redskins would surely be interested...
Isn’t he a DE and does he play in a 3-4 or a 4-3?
I do think the Jets will go on a bit of a run with their upcoming schedule but those other 4 teams in front of the Giants really suck. Lets say the Giants get the 5th pick
Top 4 off the board- Tua, Herbert, Andrew Thomas, Chase Young
Best options left
- WR Jeudy, S Delpit, OT Wirfs, LB Simmons, WR Lamb, OT Austin Jackson
Right now, I'd lean towards Jeudy. The Giants WR's have not been able to create much seperation/YAC, and they aren't winning many routes down the field. But, this is assuming they can bring some impact FA's to help on the OL and front 7

as much as we may want Jeudy...no way would they go WR with the 1st pick. They have way too many needs from LT/DE/MLB/Safety
WR is up there but Engram/Sheppard/Tate/Slayton can get the job done. Need to replace that bum Solder with a 10-15 LT immediately. Or get a game breaking edge rusher.
DL or LT and we still need another tackle .
I think we will pick around 5 so better make it good .
What a joke this franchise has become.
More than anything else, FAR MORE than any other deficiency in talent, this team's ILBs SUCK. A bad team with an awful OL ran all over us yesterday, making the game flat out non-competitive!
3 TD runs > 20 yards by a no-name no talent RB who simply found holes my grandma could have run through, straight to the end zone. And my grandmothers are both long since passed away!
If we consider immediate, over reaching needs, an impact ILB and impact FS too top the list, and positions like WR aren't close to those two.
Just my two cents.
The team is now obviously in flat out rebuild, and better for that understanding. I don't expect a winning season now until 2021, and I am OK with that.
You pups crying about the prospective 17,18, 19 W/L records have no idea about the extended nadir this team endured that we old timers remember.
Build, build from the draft with guys that bring back memories of LT, Banks, Oates, Karl Nelson, Phil Simms, Bavaro.
Fuck drafting WRs high when good big men are available.

Well I am not OK with that, this team needs to learn how to win and I am not seeing any improvement of note. When the O-line is a total shitshow and your defense is constantly out of position leading to EASY TDs, that is not improving. If I saw some level of competency from the coaching staff In adjusting in-game I could live with it. But there is zero improvement from week to week, how exactly is that rebuilding, it's just more of the same BS.
Agree. He would be. Should be BPA other than QB and RB. And Jeudy would certainly be worth the #6 pick.
A complete dumpster fire. Luckily, they're probably going to take a QB like Tua, Fromm or Herbert, which will push a prospect down to us. I can't see them passing on a franchise QB for Ryan fucking Findley.
Jon do you see that as more important than OTs? I realize nobody should draft for need and ER is a big need too, but watching Solder and Remmers flail and wave, I'd want to protect Jones first.
My guess as to importance:
OT
ER
ILB with speed
WR
My preference is Edge over OT, but if the latter is the better player in their view then it's a huge need too. But, I don't want that player to sit behind Solder. Layers of considerations.
We don't need a left tackle in the first round...we need a freakin' left tackle. I wouldn't mind at all if we signed Castonzo from the Colts.
Edge rusher, linebacker, safety, wide receiver, OT, C, probably CB. A lot of priorities.

going into a draft it's wise to understand your priorities, but got to be very careful about saying we need a left tackle in the first round.

Castonzo isn't very good. You would find him the "second coming" of Nate Solder, more or less, from what I have seen of him.
I had zero doubt...
