Honestly a 5th does you nothing but offer some cap relief. At some point they need to consider whether the lack of veteran leadership sets their rookies back and what the value of that leadership is.
In the 5th round this year DG grabbed Slayton and Connelly. DG can make some hey with a 5th round pick.
Last year Snacks was traded for one of those 5's around this time.
Eli Apple was traded for a 4 last year and a 7 next year. Being they grabbed X-man late 3 and Love 4 (both show some promise) there is reason to believe Gettleman has > 50% chance of hitting on a 4th or 5th rd pick.
This isn't advocating he should or shouldn't make a trade, it just is looking at what he did last year and the results.
The Dolphins are going QB as well as the bengals and the redskins need a left tackle if we could get the 4th pick we could realistically land Chase Edmunds
If all we get is a 4th, which would be like a 5th if going to the Saints.
I still want to play hard this year and I don’t see anyone who can take his place. Ballentine....not ready yet....Beal probably will get hurt in his first game back.

We aren't getting Chase Young. He's going to probably go #2 overall, and with 2 wins, the Giants won't be drafting that high.
