Raiders trade CB Gareon Conley to Texans for a 3rd Rounder

Anakim : 10/21/2019 3:09 pm
So you guys can see what we could possibly net in a Jackrabbit trade.

On another note, the Texans have like no draft capital
Hmm interesting.
section125 : 10/21/2019 3:12 pm : link
But can we use draft picks? Capital is so douchie sounding.
What does Texas have left in draft picks, after this transaction and

the Laremy Tunsil trade?

As goes this forum and the team it tracks, we have much bigger problems than to be worrying about semantics.

Really? Douchie? How? Must be a slow day for you.
I know you were not implying we’d get the same value for JJ,
Big Blue '56 : 10/21/2019 3:24 pm : link
but I have no idea what we could get for him in trade.

Conley is 24, JJ will be 31 next week

Yep, so I think the highest we could get for Jackrabbit is a third and more likely we get a fourth or fifth.
If we could get a third
johnnyb : 10/21/2019 4:09 pm : link
that is a no brainer in my opinion. Not only a pick, but additional cap space as well. That being said, because of his age, a 5th is more reasonable.
Houston no draft capital?
Des51 : 10/21/2019 4:10 pm : link
They still have a 2nd rd pick and the 3rd they got from Seattle for Clowney and are projected to get another 3d comp pick.

According to Spotrac, if we keep Jackrabbit for the season and cut him in the offseason, we save 11M.

Looked it up. Texans have the following picks in 2020:

2nd Round
4th Round
5th Round
6th Round
7th Round

Sheesh. And I know they gave up a first and a second rounder in either 2021 or 2022, right?
Trading Janoris would accelerate $3.5mm against the cap.
cosmicj : 10/21/2019 4:38 pm : link
That’s doable but, given how tight NYG is against the cap, it will require some contract restructuring of other players. I hope Abrams’ is working on it now.

Yes they gave up a 1st & a 2nd in 2021 for Tunsil. But GBN says they still have a 3rd in 2020 from Seattle for Clowney and OTC has them getting a comp pick in th 3rd and 2 more comp picks in the 7th.

The third they got from Seattle was traded to Oakland in the Conley deal

Yeah, they're prob. going to get a third for Honey Badger
Everybody wants to

Get rid of jackrabbit I’d rather get rid of Evan Engram maybe they can get a 3rd for him the last Reese boy
