Belichick on the sidelines

nygfaninorlando : 10/21/2019 9:25 pm
That was classic Belichick. What more can be said about the GOAT. Team looks like a machine, up 24-0 in 2nd quarter and the guy is coaching up his defense on the bench. Not even watching his offense, just huddled up with his defense and coaching them on the sideline. What I wouldn’t give to have Belichick come back to the Giants to finish out his career.

That.
Still can't believe we had this legendary coach once upon a time..

and wish it could've beeen us the last twenty years.
Patriots defense

is one of the best ever through 6 games. Secondary is suffocating and the front 7 is stout. All of this and the only dominant player is Gilmore, maybe Devin McCourty. But, they have about 15-16 above average players rotating in
Lombardi, Landry

And BB all started with us. Pretty painful when you think about it.
Belichick hates the Jets....

not surprising.
Nah
Jimmy Googs : 10/21/2019 9:44 pm : link
he does that no matter who they are playing.

a well-oiled machine...
He's the real GOAT. Or at the very least co-GOAT.

The GOAT.

Love BB. Deep down, he's still a Giant. I'd love nothing more for him to come home.

That is incredible when you think about it.
I love this video of Bill and his reactions to the TDs being scored

Not only was he coaching them up

But did you see how every single one of those guys were locked in to what he was saying? Not one of them was looking around or talking to another player.

You would have thought they were down 24 and not up. Just always looking to stay on point and win the next play.

That's what a great coach does and the respect he commands is plain to see.His players know he puts them in the best positions to succeed and his words are gold to them.
That’s a great point.

Every one of them was locked in on Belichick and what he was saying.
we would do well
AndyMilligan : 10/21/2019 10:28 pm : link
to have a GM and coach that would emulate his cold and calculating approach.
How long before his son will be ready to be a HC .?
Spider56 : 10/21/2019 10:31 pm : link
I’d take a chance on him now just because of genetics.
I’m not sure what the genetics of BB’s greatest strength is, and that
plato : 10/21/2019 10:42 pm : link
is his “photographic memory”. A rare gift to remember like, taking a photo of, what’s in front of you that you are interested in. BB has this and he remembers what plays are run from the formation he sees. It’s what made him a great DC for giants, and Parcells never won a championship or maybe even a playoff game, without BB at his side.

So before hiring BB’s son as our HC one thing I would do is check to see whether like dad, son has a photographic memory.

Parcells said Belichick has this great capacity to concentrate and focus for long periods of time. So he could give him tremendous amount of responsibility. And Belichick would always solve the problem.

At 17-0 yesterday, our coach likely had his head down and looking at his play sheet.

Don’t forget about Payton.

And why not throw Fox in there as well.

I know they’re not quite on GOAT level (although I personally think Payton is just a notch below GOAT based on the consistency he’s had in NO the last 15 years and the way that team is just talented and well-coached year in and year out)).
