Mike was very critical of Jones and said that Darnold was the superior QB
Mike said that they are both young QBs and they are learning but that Darnold was both better now and the Jets had their QB of the future
Conversely he was very critical of Jones and said that he was not convinced that he was a franchise QB
I hope that he will be equally dismissive of Darnold
If Jones had a game as bad as Darnold is having he would have killed him
I think that it is fair to compare Jones game against NE on the road, with a short week, and Barkley , Engram , Shepard were out with Darnold’s game
Jones was great when comparing him to Darnold
The state of NY sports is crazy bad.
The best only relevant team plays on the boarder of Canada.

Yeah the state of the Yankees is just terrible.....
That he wouldn’t come out and say yesterday that Jones is not a franchise guy, indicated to me, that he probably believes he is going to be pretty good.
Strahan
Beckham
But Gettlemen brings it to a brand new level because now it's not about a player.
Mike is “pretty reasonable” where can I get what you are smoking? He is no different than Stephen A or Skip, just has horrible opinions that he says loudly and thinks that makes him right. He is an idiot and basically has been for 20+ years. He knows nothing, doesn’t watch anything and is a general buffoon. But other than that, he is great

colored everything he says about the Giants - including Daniel Jones. If the Jets had Jones and the Giants had Darnold, he'd say Jones was a much better qb. He's no longer worth listening to when he talks about the Giants.

No offense, but your take is far more representative of buffoonery than anything the Sports Pope can offer. He is nothing like Steven A or Skip. Apparently, you just have an agenda. He knows a lot more than you do, watches everything (except hockey) and has been a radio sports icon for 30 years. He is not an idiot. He is far more successful at his chosen profession than you could ever be at yours. You don't have to agree with his opinions that he is paid to provide, but the least you could do is offer something of substance over this drivel... Again, no offense.

He is exactly like Stephen A. and Skip he says divisive things to get you to call and listen. He does it all the time. If you think that he is an informed sports opinion and is well prepared that says more about you than it does me. He constantly contradicts himself, it is completely obvious he does not watch games outside of the NFL and maybe the Yankees, and he is constantly wrong. They have twitter accounts that have tens of thousands of followers that post daily clips of his lack of knowledge. In short, he has become a laughingstock. I am not going to tell you what I do for a living, but you have no idea what I do for a living and how successful or not I have been.
I can't fathom how much spin is in this post.
I get it, Fracesser is a loud-mouth...but don't put words in his mouth.
In addition he went on to criticize Jones in that he holds the ball to long, he does not protect the ball, and he is not that athletic
He did say that he had a + arm but this was qualified that it was not a strong arm but accurate
He qualified his negative comments by stating that all young QBs go through this
Where his argument lost any validity was when he compared the Giants and the Jets His analysis was prejudiced everything about the Giants were negative
The Jets were far ahead of the Giants in talent led by Darnold
He believed that Darnold had shown enough to warrant a lofty ranking
He referred to the Dallas game and contrasted that with Jones games against NE, and Arizona
My point is that it is not appropriate to downgrade Jones for three mediocre
Performances if you do not apply the same criticism to Darnold when he lays an egg and sees ghosts
If Jones has a game as poor as Darnolds he would be labeled a bust by Francesa
Eli threw 4 picks and was getting run out of town in his 4th season. 2 months later he was Super Bowl MVP. 4 years later he was Super Bowl MVP again.
Both QBs have shown promise. Both are turnover machines at machines at this point. Both are on bad teams with awful head coaches and weak owners. Way too early to tell about either of them.
