Including the first rounder possibly in the super quick ilb/s prospect and one heady heavier 'football player' type. Basically a sturdier heavier Connelly type that can crash down sometimes and zone pass D a bit.
Whereas your first rounder has to have actual safety level pass D skills.
As far as the middle of the field goes.
Connelly, Mayo and Pepper's are pieces of a puzzle. But you need serious speed and playmaking ability ball skills even from ilb, s, FS on back .
That's as high as 1,2,3.
Right now we don't have one single true free safety on the roster and haven't in forever if you count ball in the air skills. You need 2.
Love may be useful down the line but isn't the guy speed wise probably.
Once you have the ilb, s, FS at above average nfl level in terms of pass D, the corners we now have will do much better.
Similar to how certain types of run scheming helps OL.
You simply cannot keep trying to fit new high draftees in to something that's not working

Simmons from Clemson is your guy then.
This regime’s two favorite positions to stock w garbage Â
with the quality of this team for the last few years why don't we pilfer from others practice squads? I am pretty sure that there are players that are stashed on the practice squads that would be good additions to our team. Yes i understand that they might not contribute right away but we are not in the playoff hunt.
The cut and sign from the practice squad moves are not helping the team. There could be an argument to be made that these players know our system and could contribute to the team but this is short sighted. JMHO
You got to believe or we are lost, and they are are out of work. Positives are, DGs drafts have been good. FA moves not so much but next year we have $$$ and a lot of promising newbies. Don't give it up yet. MO.

We signed Skipper from the Steelers, and Pearce from the Chargers.
I thought Dickerson was the most TE like (blocking, athleticism, catching) of all our so-called TEs
I agree completely.
Gentleman swaps players like people change clothes. No continuity. Ogletree’s bloated contract replaced Harrison’s but Ogletree is nothing special. This so-called rebuild is a constant merry-go-round of vastly overpaid, and often older FAs (Ogletree, Bethea, Solder), practice squad pickups and Cardinal castoffs, and mediocre draft picks (Baker) other than .
