Jackrabbit on Dallas' first TD

rnargi : 11/4/2019 11:43 pm
If you can find it, and stomach it, watch the replay. Frankly, if he doesn't want to play, he should be cut or benched. Absolutely pathetic, embarrassing, and unacceptable.

with balls would not have put him back in the game.

he'd sit (at best) the rest of the game and then cut.
Thanks Rob, was going to post this

In an ideal world he'd be cut on the spot, regardless of cap consequences.

I literally have been saying that all season... He is nobody I would want mentoring young players.
A lot of guys who

do shit like this and continue to start. You wonder if they watch film at all? Maybe it is a raw raw session. The plays are the Bethea pick and the Tate catch. No film review after that.
What a joke

the veteran "leaders" on the D were embarrassing on that play. Ogletree is responsible for completely misread the play and Jenkins just gave up.

I disagree with you.

I think you need to watch it again. It wasn’t great but certainly doesn’t deserve to be called out.
For a team obsessed with “culture”

it’s astonishing this loser is still on the roster. This “effort” has been par for the course for this clown.

Janoris shut down his side of the field, which is why Dak preyed on Baker and whoever happened to be covering Witten.
Should've traded him

More like they had no reason to throw to his side of the field when Baker can't play for shit.
Up until this game I was a JJ fan

But don’t make shit up. Go back and watch it again before making a post like this. Funny everyone jumping onto it and agreeing only because it works to make their point doesn’t matter if it’s true or not.

Delete this garbage.

FYI. He engages the WR’s block, takes the sideline shoulder forcing the runner back inside so hopefully someone can catch him from behind. He makes a nice strong play to shed the wr but is off balance as the runner is going by him because his momentum is carrying him away from the runner but he lungs at him and throws an arm out at him but has no shot at making the tackle off balance. Find something else to complain about.
Yep it was disgusting

And I'm in Houston for a couple of days so of course I had to watch the game with some Dallas fans I work with. It was great.

Come on man, he made a half ass effort with a shoulder shrug and watched him run past for a TD...There is no excuse it was a horrible attempt

Did this crap 2 years ago and should have been gone then. It amazed me how many posters have looked past those "business decisions" and supported his being on the team since.
I think once the season is "over"
Jim in Forest Hills : 11/5/2019 8:32 am : link
you see this a lot. Guys like Jenkins start thinking they will likely be cut for cap savings and want to preserve their body for next year. He hasn't quit, but he's not going to sacrifice himself so the Giants can go 4-12. Especially after he was trade bait.

100000% this. That was a classic business decision. Jenkins knew the Giants had him on the trade block and tried to move him, but they got so low balled that Gettleman just decided to keep him. And he's fully aware that the Giants will ask him to take a big paycut, which he will likely decline and get cut and will be a free agent next year. He was not going to stick his body in there to stop a 250 pound TE with a head of steam. Activate Beal and deactivate Jenkins next week. The Giants need to take advantage of these remaining games to get experience for Ballentine, Beal and put Love on the friggin field. Let them learn by fire.
Cut his ass.

He's done this before.

Once he feels the season is effectively over, he stops playing hard. His game in 2016 in SF might be the worst game I've ever seen by an NFL player.

This is why I thought DG should have dealt him. When motivated, he's still a good player, but his attitude is a terrible thing for a young team.

I did watch it again and his effort was not great. He also whiffed on the last TD at the 3 by diving at his legs. He is Deion when it comes to tacking a big guy running at him.
