Will DJ break Kerry Collins record for most fumbles

BigBlueDownTheShore : 11/5/2019 7:38 am
In a season. I can’t remember if it was a NYG record or a league record, but Kerry proudly holds that record.

I’m really concerned about DJs fumbling. It’s the one part of his game that is going to cost us games in the feature. If it wasn’t for that, I would have complete faith in him being the guy. He fumbles almost once a game!
Collins set the league record at the time,

I'm not sure if it still stands or has been broken. At lot of those that season were fumbled snaps from center which are charged to the QB.
Two different issues

The 1st...should be resolved with an off-season in the weight room. He made an effort to tuck it in....but still stripped. He must get stronger core.

The 2nd....pocket presence, feeling the pressure..speed of defender ...he either will get it or not. Bigger concern as it is less linier.

The INT....was a horrible poke and hope....poor read....could be on coaches?
There is a BBI narrative...

...that "at least" we found our future QB in Daniel Jones.

I do not subscribe to that plot line. The book on him is just beginning, and no one really knows how it will end.

But mark this down.

If his fumbles continue, he will first find the bench, then he will be a journeyman back-up, and then he will be out of the league.

And it could happen within 2-3 years.

Cool you have your own narrative
DJs are way more worrisome

Collins's numbers were high, but the overwhelming majority were snaps and dusty was to blame for a good many. DJ is more like Dave Kreig with fumbling. It's correctable, but who knows when that will happen

That’s my feelings as well. It should be very correctable, but as it stands now he’s costing us almost a TD a game due for the fumbles.

With a better line that should improve, but part of this is from the no fear for the defensive line pressure.

It’s got to stop, it’s something we should hopefully see from growth by him this season.
