I mean we all know the OL is not great. How can we not scheme to move him around??...at least a few times. Where QBs are making plays today is mainly outside the pocket. If you roll him out even terrible WRs can get free....we see it every sunday(only if you are watching another team). It just very frustrating...ROLL THE MAN OUT...is it that difficulty....
Robbie...exactly my point...We did it with an immobile QB...but dont do it at all with somebody is no is mobile? Head scratching for sure...
Im a big fan of having the QB under center...especially if you commit tomthe run game...this coach is clueless...
You can't let him go through 5 progressions behind this disasterous Shurmru/Hunter coached OLine and gameplan.
And even though that is an excuse, it’s also true to a large extent.
However, he does have to stop turning it over or it will be his fault
One of the next steps he and the offense have to take is to turn those rollouts into downfield passes.
He did it a few times yesterday only to have the reads covered and he had to run. Remember those???
The rollouts work with play action under center. We couldn’t run the fukn ball!
They’re doing more run/pass out of shotgun so DJ can see the field easier.
Seriously, next you’ll say that was shurmur’s black house cat.

Well said
play action and naked bootle=I agree
There other ways to get your QB outside the tackles
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootleg_play
Last night when the announcers had a few seconds to come up for air, they were harping on getting Barkley in space. Shurmur actually did get the ball to Barkley in space and he had a nice gain. Then Shurmur stopped calling it.
get rid of him and a lot of your problems are solved
Shurmur needs to go.
Shurmur gets a "D" from me in tactical thinking on offense.
Yes! There's no coordination to the strategy or tactics employed.
My guess,he wants Jones to not develop bad habits, by bailing on every pass play, and running for first daylight.
So let him learn the fundamentals of being a pure pocket passer, but once the game slows down for him, and he sees the field better, only then let him have a free pass to run, when needed.
That said: If we’re gonna lose anyway, how about some fun? Roll out, throw back, flea flick again. Try SB I’m pistol, jet sweep motion to draw the D’s eyes, do something to try to create more space out there!
Intelligent discussion becomes difficult in the midst of losing.
Thanks guys.
