But its not anyone on our sieve defense for missing assignments or Baker for not knowing the playbook or Jenkins for airmailing tackles or Bethea for being terrible
Or any of our OL like Solder for being a revolving door and bring unable to pick up any defensive blitz or stunt or Halapio for never pushing anyone backwards
Or any of our coaches for failure to adjust to anything
Or anyone in our booth who gives him the advice to challenge
Nope.
Its the poor "boom mic" guy on the sidelines for not getting out of Jones way.
Great job Pat!
Our "adult" HC even managed to shame him about his conditioning.
“There was one he went out of bounds, he got waylaid by some guy with a boom mic,” Shurmur said of the third-quarter sideline smash, after the Cowboys’ Xavier Woods had shoved Jones out of bounds. “I don’t know what you do about that. Those guys have to be a little fitter and get the heck out of the way.”
Im glad you finally found someone to hold accountable.
I have no idea what kind of guy Shurmur is, but his public persona from afar, comes across as thinned skinned and somewhat passive aggressive.
it would have been hilarious
Goodness gracious this place is out of control.
Rolle got hurt pretty bad with an injury to his leg (I think) that lingered for a while on a piece of camera equipment.
That said, not sure why Shurmur had to attack the individual guy who was just trying to do his job. Not a big deal but I just thought it was uncalled for. If you want to call it out, speak to the larger problem that I mentioned above.
Goodness gracious this place is out of control.
More like not happy with the HC of the NYG calling out a guy just doing his job and calling him a fatass?
It’s ridiculous that this has to be explained to people.
Of course, how could we miss more of Shurmur's witty repartee? That subtle sense of humor, it's almost undetectable.
That would explain all his challenges this year.

I'm not sure how challenges relate to this or to any attempt of his to quip. But, on that subject, I can't think of (m)any that he's actually been wrong wrt PI. I can't fault him for trying to get the correct call.
LOL.
Basically the response you got is that Shurmur's humor sucks too!!
If I have a bad lunch today, I'm going to blame Shurmur. Seems like the chic thing to do here!
2- NFL employees on the sidelines doing their job "should never" and i mean never be called out publicly by a HC. That "must" be handled privately behind scenes with their appropriate supervisor.
3- Accountability is not always publicly or privately "ripping" people. It can be things like fines and/or benchings, reduced reps or responsibilities, etc. especially of said problems continue unaddressed
4- NFL HC "should not" publicly excuse or sugarcoat poor play if they are privately "ripping" said player(s). Ie saying Janoros Jenkins made an effort on his tackles when we all have two eyes. A HC should at least be able to acknowledge the truth without publicly "ripping" said player.
Its not appropriate to do so privately let alone publicly.
Its not appropriate to attempt humor on peoples physical appearance either.
That's honestly worse then reacting out of anger or whatever that was.
Actually, there should be "hire the boom guy" chants at the next game.

Oh Geezus

Based on that last reply, you should be the last one judging anyone's attempt at humor.
At least in my case I wasn't getting paid for it.
might have been just an attempt to deflect some of the obvious pressure he is feeling now but the statement was ill advised and not a complimentary look right now for a troubled NFL head coach.
as far as this morning's news that he has put players "on notice" for improvement or lost playing time, I'm curious to see what shakes out from that. Seems like it should have been done a month ago or more
On second thought, it may be an improvement.
Shurmur tells jokes? When did this start?
At least we're keeping our humor....
