clearly PS and DG have a lot of respect of Halapio and Remmers - do you think they're really hurt..or is this just a way to allow them to save face while the Giants do the right thing and see who is going to be a part of the solution moving forward?

I would guess the injury is at least part of it. At this point, with the BYE next week, I imagine they would've just waited until then if it was a straight up "benching".
2 strong guards around him might not be as bad. If he makes better line calls than JH, then that's worth it to see.
It's also time to see what we have in the younger tackles. I kinda wish we had Wheeler over Remmers this year. He might be one of those guys that plays better on the left side than the right side. It would have been nice to see him get some real reps on that side.
If halapio is out our offense will improve immediately Â

I wish Jones and Wheeler were both still here. Wheeler was a true LT.
Does anybody think Wheeler would have played worse than Remmers? Not that Wheeler was any good but as a younger player, he possibly has an upside. Remmers has been a disappointment . Read that Wheeler is on Seattle; no idea how he’s doing.

I was pulling for Wheeler, and probably gave him more slack than I should have, but he was even worse. Good guy. Bad player.

Pulley couldn't beat out Halapio, a bum in two seasons. Gates is an undrafted nobody. This is "good news" in the same sense that someone hit by tsunami is now only going to get hit with a cyclone.

that's the thing. with this organization i have no faith that the best players are seeing the field. remember when the Pats got beat down by Kansas City a few years ago? The game before the "we're on to Cincinnati" press conference. The talk then was that Brady was washed up. Then Bellichick switched up the OL and they came out firing on all cylinders.
the way our OL has been sucking we should have been switching it up just to send a message or to see what we had on the bench. it's crazy that these bums are still starting, especially Pio.
Weird or alarming?
Or Shurmur as back-up C

In all sports.

Remmers is another story because I don't believe we have a better player in waiting. He's the best option at RT this season.
