NFT: Christian Pulisic best player in EPL according to Sky Sports

AndyMilligan : 11/9/2019 7:04 pm
of course we know Pulisic is not the very best player in the EPL yet but he tops the Sky Sports list according to their metrics.

More importantly, is Pulisic the first player from the United States to become an elite international soccer star?
21-year-old American Christian Pulisic is currently the best player in the English Premier League - ( New Window )
It is great to see Pulisic...

finally playing and getting it done after Lampard's reluctance to play him.

Best player in the EPL? Well, I can think of a few players on Liverpool and ManCity who are pretty good... ;)
yeah - don't think he's the best player in the EPL but

it's great that he's even in that discussion.
Top 5 possibly top 3 at the moment in my opinion

His off the ball movement these last 3 weeks is the best I have ever seen of him. He is dragging defenders towards him and opening spaces for his teammates. And he is doing it intentionally and outsmarting them by doing so. He is displaying an on field IQ that is the best he ever has in my opinion.

Lampard has raised his in-game IQ and off the ball instincts. I have no doubt about saying that.
It doesn’t matter how good CP is because ...

The nitwits in US soccer don’t know how to use him ... we need to bring back Juergen ... by far the best coach the US has ever had.

No, we need to somehow hire Jesse Marsch away from RB Salzburg...

As well yesterday
after seeing his header to send Chelsea up by 2-0
ColHowPepper : 11/10/2019 10:50 am : link
do you think he is fully accepted by his teammates? Or some reserve shown?

His pass from outside the 18 to a pretty well marked forward (don't recall who) that started the scoring sequence was thing of beauty
moe, agree that
ColHowPepper : 11/10/2019 10:54 am : link
his one 'weakness' that I see is that he is still long and thin, and defenders and MFs will attempt to muscle him and knock him around...but he shows toughness

but he's not good enough to play 90 for USMNT, right?
Liverpool FC vs Man City

well into 2H, with the game in hand, MSNBC showed a graphic for Mo Salah, who scored on a very alert header.

The graphic: Mohammed Salah, one of only two PL players with 5+ goals and 5 assists (Pulisic CH)
That Liverpool game was great

Even better because it ran over into the Giants game so I got to miss some of this garbage. What a contrast from possibly the two best teams in the world in Liverpool and City to the Jets-Giants Toilet Bowl.

I have thought for some time that he has not been fully accepted by all of them. Not certain if it is my imagination though but the fact that he is making so much money could be a factor with some of the other players. As for his play, he is rapidly improving but nowhere near the top 5 in the EPL. He is still easily dispossessed by stronger players and has a habit of trying to take on the defender every time when a pass is a better option.
