When you have a bad defense you need to set the momentum offensively and get ahead. Maybe he has no confidence in his offensive or QB either but you get out ahead with the ball.
Soft.....slow, poor tackling is the saving grace of the giants defensive scheme which specializes in being as much out of position as possible. Bettechers genius is to give opposing quarterbacks lots of time to relax and read their receivers, who are all running in open unguarded space.

has a lot of personnel issues. Pass plays are doomed from the start - Jones still appears to have issues calling out protections, the Oline is porous even when healthy, and it's become pretty clear that Barkley and Engram are very poor blockers.

killing us is mindlessly running Barkley into the line on every second down. As someone said, the Jets are running a lot of run blitzes on obvious running downs. We need to play action to him, or just keep throwing. Those failed runs also put us in second and third and long, which is when Jones is likely to be blitzed and fumble.
