NGT: Lamar Jackson..

AndyMilligan : 11/10/2019 1:46 pm
.. just ran a straight QB option and flipped the ball to RG3 fpr a nice gainer. They're having fun down in Baltimore..
Much better
Coach Red Beaulieu : 11/10/2019 2:28 pm : link
Than Shemur's pass to the flats for a 2 yard gain.

Gimmick offenses have short short lifespans in the NFL

and then Lamar ran for a 47 yd TD. So you think Lamar is a flash in the pan? They just routed the Patriots

People keep saying this, but it isn't panning out. Jackson is one of the best players in the league.

seriously.. of course they are going to have to make adjustments.. but they blew out the best defense and schemer in the NFL. Giants fans are resistant to any kind of change..
Kaep didn't run like this

Only thing will be an injury.
Amazing no one was sold on this guy in the NFL..
Sean : 11/10/2019 3:15 pm : link
Ravens passed on him twice before trading up. Belichick passed on him twice. If you redid the draft he’d go #1.

RG3 had 4.3 speed.

i agree he is the #1 player. I get why teams passed, you have to literally remake your offense in his image. Most teams just dont have the balls to do this..
We will see

Even Lamar himself acknowledged that he's going to have to learn win from inside the pocket to have sustainable success.

Has nothing to do with Giants fans or being resistant. It's just proven out over the years.

He's playing at an extremely high level in this offense right now
RG3 didnt run like this either
KWALL2 : 11/10/2019 3:19 pm : link
Jackson has more wiggle and lateral burst to avoid shots.

Hes thin (like RG3) and they may be the issue with an injury/
Cam had monstrous years

It's a 16+ game season with an expectation of your QB to start for 10+ years.
Give him credit.

He's doing well.

Let's see what happens when he needs to throw more.

Don't you also keep saying how few starts Jackson has had whenever anyone criticizes him? Shouldn't both sides of this argument be waiting for a larger sample size?

I agree. They will. And then we will see if LJax matures into a dependable pocket passer.

But he is different right now because he's (1) absolutely fearless and (2) has world class speed.
Anyone see Baker dogging it there?

No, because the Ravens are one of the best teams in the league with him right now.

He didnt need to throw against NE?
One game for 163 yards

No one is saying that he isn't have GREAT success right now...

But if I had to bet whether Lamar Jackson will be able to operate in this type of system for the next 5-7 years with similar success, I would bet against it.

And if i had to bet whether Lamar Jackson could learn to become the type of QB that could beat you with his arm when teams take his legs away, I would bet against that as well.

We will see, gentlemen... And I promise that if I'm proven wrong, I will jump on here 1-2 years from now to eat some humble pie.

It's just one man's opinion

Lamar Passed today
djstat : 11/10/2019 4:09 pm : link
15 of 17 223 Yards, 3 TDs
158.3 Passer Rating
One of the two incompletions was spiking the ball at end of first half

7 carries 65 yards rushing 1 TD

It’s not a gimmick offense
