What can he do? There was literally a guy waiting for him every single time he received a hand-off.
With a brain saw picking a running back was a bad decision, and arrogant Gettleman has top answer for that, he hired the clueless head coach that is ruining any semblance of an organization left. This is the Mara/Shurmur/Gettleman Shitshow, they had a Super Bowl team with a franchise QB and blew it, a joke of an owner.
By Jones was not good today. I wonder if he needs to strengthen his hands? Get to work on that. You keep losing the ball and you’re going to be yesterday’s news.
RE: RE: Is anyone 100% against shutting him down Â
If he’s injured, then he should sit. I’m 100% against shutting down a healthy player.
I don't think there's such a thing as a healthy player once the season starts, unless it's a guy that just came off IR. They're all various degrees of banged up.
Barkley needs to sit. It's likely something injury related, but even if he's 100% healthy (which I doubt), he needs some time on the bench to clear his head.
RE: If jones played as bad as barkley did today there would be Â

He was a terrible pick. He’s a good back when healthy - but let’s be serious, there are plenty as good and better

OK. Love to know who's better. Only CMC is comparable.
I don't know why some people are criticizing him so much. Just move on, next game, kid is a fucking stud.
I don’t know. Maybe cause he was a complete negative in all phases. His crap blocking led to Jones getting hit several times. The criticism is warranted. When Jones fumbles, people blow their fuse and you see trolls like GiantEgo, Gary Jc, Big_N come of like roaches
a reporter post game asked him if he got hurt during the game. he said " next question". If Shurmur played him hurt to save his job he should get canned for that tomorrow.

That just isnt true. He had chances to attack the hole and he was tentative and tap dancing every time.
And his pass blocking was atrocious. He got jones killed 3 times and caused 2 fumbles

Bummer Barkley is hurt and having an unproductive season.
I'll be curious to see how his agent handles next offseason. After year 3 in the NFL both Gurley and Elliot became extremely expensive players.
This is the cautionary tale with a high round RB -- getting hurt (unavoidable and part of football) and losing time eats into a big percentage of expected career length, and moreso into cost controlled years.
Of the vocal segment of BBI, many wanted a QB, some wanted a specific other player, some wanted a trade down, some did not want a RB that high. Some were happy with the pick.
He was good last year, but bad all year this year, including pre injury, in the running dep't. receiving is another matter.
His blocking sucks, so if you combine that with the lack of running, he's of questionable value.
not only hindering his cutting ability. It is affecting his ability to block. There is a lack of strength on the injured leg. It is why he is being bowled over when he is pass blocking. I give him credit for gamely trying to play, but he is clearly ineffective.

Stick to lurking. You're a football ignoramus.
Yeah, um considering I’ve been right about everything (but Jones thankfully), you should STFU and drink a glass of bleach. Gettleman is the football ignoramus, not me.

It’s why it was a stupid pick from the moment it was made.
Have him practice, workout with the team but don't play him. He hasn't recovered from the ankle and now his shoulder is injured. Playing him now would be a waste at best.
They drafted a RB before they had a line or QB in place. Â
This is why sometimes BPA is a really stupid idea. Drafting a RB before your OL or defense is in place is a really bad idea. The Giants are going to waste the first 3 years of his career.
Barkley getting X-rayed becomes a referendum on his value and revisiting his draft position?
Some of you guys just stick to a talking point no matter what the fuck is being said.
So far, there's a lot of talk about his draft pick, not much in the form of information on the X-rays - you know the actual point of the fucking thread.
So, do you morons want Darnold over Barkley still? Â
Darnold is not a franchise QB and outside of Jackson, nobody else in last year's draft is. Barkley was the best player in the draft and I am still thrilled to have him. If they could put a professional OL ion front of him, even a mediocre one, he would be the best player in the league. Instead, we have one of the worst OLs I've ever seen...every fucking year.

Barkley is not the same guy he was last year or earlier this season. High ankle sprains for a runner like Barkley can ruin his career if not taken care of properly.
I'm 100% against Giants fans making that decision.
Absolutely not

What a second guess. Monday morning QBing. Everyone loved the pick when it was made. Right?

Feel sorry for Barkley and DJ to have to deal with an offensive line grouping that is only getting worse.
If that's even possible...

Ok...what shall we discuss?
They might not.
He might getting an MRI tomorrow.
