Look, I'm past the point of saying these fumbles are rookie mistakes. At this point, I worry about him fixing them and if he doesn't fix them he'll be just wasted potential. But the potential is incredible. As a thrower of the football, he's very good, 8 games in. I want to focus on the positives. God knows we hear enough about the negatives. And those fumbles are scary, he looks like in that one area he's self-destructing a bit. But you know what? If a rookie struggling so much in one area and even self-destructing in that area, playing so well in other areas is actually a great sign to me. He's not letting those fumbles get him down. Arguably a bit too much. But his mental makeup seems like a very big positive.
BUT PLAYCALLS
no guys...
ITS THE DEFENSE.
If and when he's making faster decisions, and is better able to throw deep, and CAN HOLD ONTO THE BALL, he should be a very dangerous QB.
And
Teach Barkley how to block. Holy hell. Or put in a FB.
