clatterbuck -- since I'm definitely old enough to recall that period (I was at everyone of the home games), I gotta ask how is it that Fran Tarkenton sabotaged Sherman? My view is that trading for Tarketon kept the team respectable (a couple of 7-7 years, not to mention a 9-5 year with Alex Webster), but I also felt that Fran masked and compensated for a very weak team that should have been drafting much higher in those years, and also Fran came with a high price in which we traded draft picks that became the likes of Ron Yary, etc.
