Snapshot: the Adams strip for a TD

I know this is subjective but that may have been the most demoralizing single play since the Pisarcik Fumble. As long as we're wallowing, any other nominees?
DeSean Jackson

Definitely on the list. And I was in the stadium for that one.

What about Fassel going for it at the end of the first half

When we had like no time left and Collins threw a pick six?
Not even in the top 20.

How Do You Talk About That Play?
Samiam : 11/10/2019 10:00 pm : link
And not mention the nonblock from Barkley
Dude it’s not even close to

Willie Flipper Andersen in the playoffs

Or

DeSean Jackson costing us a playoff spot

Does not make my list

While it was a great play, it was a meaningless game.
So the jets are not as shitty as the giants.

C'mon, man.

The Giants took the lead after that happened.

As noted above, DeSean Jackson's punt return and Flipper Anderson were FAR worse.
This is football

at no level of football is allowing someone to take the football from you acceptable. I think y this time in his life he would take ball security far more seriously. The player was in front of him and he surrendered. That was very demoralizing to me who had zero expectations of winning this game. The defense is so disorganized its failures mask the utter ridiculousness of our franchise quarterback surrendering

are a lot more far more demoralizing plays on teams that had far more potential. This was just another crappy play in a sea of crap.

Vs Arizona, Especially bad considering that we weren't anywhere close to a FG spot and Collins threw it in the flat which would have not done anything for us
This game was a big who cares.

The Desean Jackson punt return was terrible to watch but the horse was out of the barn. The Giants would have lost in overtime no matter what happened on that play.
When the season doesnt matter anymore
Rudy5757 : 11/11/2019 12:09 pm : link
no plays really hurt anymore. They are pretty much accepted. While losing to the jets sucks, it actually helps us more to get a better draft pick. I like that Jones looks really good at this point in time. He just needs a better cast.

going back to the 1950s. The Adams play is not even close.
That was THAT demoralizing to you?
5BowlsSoon : 11/11/2019 1:13 pm : link
You must really hate the a Jets or you have friends who ride your butt when Jets beats Giants.
Okay guys, thanks for playing

I said it was subjective and...

Yes, while most of the others listed here happened in bigger games, with more on the line, etc., this one got to me because:

1) Adams just flat out took DJ's lunch money. I can't remember a play where our QB was owned as bad as that.
2) our number 1 and 2 players were at issue
3) It just seemed to symbolize the crash and burn of the whole season—one that started with hope, if not of playoffs, then at least of respectability. It was a gut punch. Demoralizing. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;-)
