We had 0 nfl lineman under contract, overpriced players in eli, snacks, ov, and jenkins, needed the next franchise qb, our best player a headcase in need of a contact, no fs, no rb, no lbs and limited cap space.
I think many giant fans, myself included, didnt grasp just how far we were. Only so much cap space n picks to go around. We need an 05 fa/draft haul like tuck, plax, jacobs, webster, mckenzie and pierce or we will remain behind talent wise. I hate shurmur too but we are waaaaay behind the curve talent wise. We are at least two years away IF jones is good. It can get worse.
The real problems is we were 3-13 two years ago, have had two years of super high draft picks, and we are not any better two years later.
To try and bring some levity to the convo, Buffalo completely turned over their roster from 3 years ago. I think only their long snapper and Shaq Lawson remain from the team 4 years ago. We will be well under the cap and obviously will have high draft picks. We need a good amount of talent and for the young kids to take the next step. We have our new young QB. Keep adding to the OL, find a pass rush and who knows.
