NFC East leader is 5-4 - yet our season still done by Oct

For this matter Halloween, and in a div were 5-4 is tops in division. This org has digressed plain and simple. I was hoping to see a 7-9, if lucky 8-8, season with signs of improvement and hope going forward. Instead, get same ol same ol year in year out. But, now worse, if thats even possible. Think about it, played a pathetic team Jets yesterday, that lost to Miami pretty easily, and whom have several injured players. Just embarrrassingly pathetic.

Pathetic seasons in a row. A once proud organization has become a bottom feeder. For the seventh time in eight years, there will not be a giants playoff game. Mara is reaping what he sowed by doing a lazy GM search and picking someone who had no business being an nil coach again.

thought we would be going backwards this year from the last couple but we did. Either it's a poor job of judging players or it's the coaches.

it is one thing to be bad. Quite another to have every season over by Halloween and be absolutely dominated by two divison rivals with no end in sight.

This roster is an abomination. That’s not on Shurmer, whose problems are well documented here. Gettleman should not be spared if Mara decides to make changes. This operation is actually worse today than the day they all walked through the door. If he were to survive, he’s going to assist Mara choose a HC and he’s going to be in charge of quite a bunch of FA dollars. Who here really trusts him with all those decisions? I sure as fuck don’t.

Much less win out.

I think we'd have a shot, but that's not happening this year.

we are 68-86 (quick math so could be off a game here or there). We have been under .500 6 of the last 7 seasons (including this year).

If the Giants were even close to being a mediocre team, we'd be still be watching meaningful games.


I don't think it's appreciated how difficult it is in the NFL to be completely out of contention before Halloween--only 2 or 3 teams fit in this category--yet the Giants have pulled it off 3 years in a row.

based or perhaps that was the last gasp of our SB MVP QB and the new HC wanted to move on (it sure seemed like he was doing everything possible to get Eli out of there) but Mgmt wouldn't let him.

The new coach, Shurmur is a guy who wants the HC job so bad he comes in all Eli can still win in this league and once again we go after the 2016 run but now we are missing the heart and energy of the 2016 Def FA signings. Eli, as expected struggles and once again the Giants now must decide what to do about him.

So, like before the Giants move forward, sort of, while keeping Eli in place and drafting his replacement. The team continues to falter in all areas that have been neglected for years.
