He at least shows up to play 308 yards and 4 tds and some really gutsy runs. I give the kid a lot of credit he does not give up. We need Barkley to get going.
is that Daniel Jones is 13 TD passes away from taking the most TD passes by a rookie QB away from Baker Mayfield. If Jones were to set the record that could provide some satisfaction to an otherwise shit season.
I'd love to see him beat Baker's record. He does have a chance. Â
but how can you not be impressed with what he is doing all things considered. Imagine this team if they had Kept him on the bench and continued to play Eli. I suspect we would be 0-10 right now. Jones keeps drives going with his legs when he has to and has moved away from pressure enough (though more designed moves would be better) to buy time. Plus, he has shown a pretty decent arm and accuracy.
This isn't a knock on Eli, he would be getting killed back there or just throwing passes into the ground and away. Some turnovers now might not have been with Eli but 3 and outs would be way up and our weak ass defense would fold much sooner than they have (see NE, Dallas, AZ etc.).
And we are always playing from behind.
So DJ is always trying to throw himself out of the hole he dug.
But there is still hope in Jones to improve. But to blow off his serious turnover tendency is ignorant at this point. His turn overs are a massive problem and he either fixes at some point or washes out.
but it would also help if they actually blocked the edge guy for at least a second LOL!
Absolutely accurate. When Jone's finishes his actual drop, has about second or 2, then fumbles, its 100% on him. I believe more than 85% of his fumbles are on the Tackles.

interesting. thanks Gf79 for that info. It would be awesome if Daniel could do that, especially after a-hole Baker's comments.
RE: His fumbles are a continuing problem, but he's looked very good in Â
Fumbles and pocket awareness need to get cleaned up. Teams are now looking to swat at him when they get close. Adams made Jones fumble twice yesterday, but thankfully Barkley caught one before the Jets pounced. He keeps his eyes downfield well and is always looking to make a play, but he needs to move better and know when defenders are closing in. I think it’s an innate ability, but he needs to really work on this in off-season.
Most for a rookie I believe but still impressive.
(Ducks...)
The people I have questions about is Shurmur and his staff.
