Suggestion....Barkley and the shotgun

edavisiii : 11/11/2019 10:43 am
Last year SBarkley seemed to get better when Eli went back to being under center more. He seemed more effective with a head start. I know Daniel Jones has little experience under center but don't some of you think the offense would be more effective with a Gallman or Barkley moving forward? With a banged up ankle SB looks like he can't push off and he seems a step slow running out of the gun. I think you have to look at Shurmur and wonder if he is too stuck on HIS SYSTEM and should adjust to his talent. Last year he rolled Eli out, DJ nowhere near as much. And Now, Barkley looks like he is stuck in the mud. I hope on the bye week he makes some adjustments like he did last year. I hope James Bettcher can figure a way to get his defense off to a good start. They opened up playing soft and the Jets ate them up early. He went to pressure and man to man and the defense made some stops. Yes they couldn't stop them in the 4th quarter but I'd rather see them go down attacking then sitting back in a soft zone on every play. Thoughts?
I’d really like to see them

Change the running schemes and use I formation , pro set boot legs both left and right , flare passes with 2 backs ,pulling guards on sweeps ,stretch runs ,Barkley over the middle , TE seam passes what happened to the slant pass gone with OBJ ? But Shurmur is stubborn besides being a loser
Dj is a shotgun qb

However, our offense should be designed completely around the Pistol formation, not the shotgun.

You can run RPO's, Jet Sweeps, straight runs, toss, mis direction, etc. That should be our offense.

Why do that when you can run him into the backs of his O line on every play?

Can Shumur run a frigging sweep/PA with Slayton all day ffs?
