Leadership at work

Asked John Mara after the loss if he wanted to stop and comment. He never broke stride and exited the building. Clearly not happy with what is transpiring.

Franchise is in great hands.
He had to rush home in time for supper.

It's not "leadeship"

to address reporters after a terrible emotional loss. It's leadership to sleep on it and prepare rational responses and decisions. I'd wait to see what happens over the bye week.

And with that being said, John Mara doesn't npt instill me with any sort of confidence. But the OP is just a weird example for why/how he's not showing leadership.

Players and coaches are required to address reporters after the same emotional loss. He's the top man for a program that's been terrible for half a decade. It's not asking a lot do is the same thing that's demanded of the players and coaches.
Peyton for HC, Eli for OC

Could be great.
John Mara is a DNA lottery winner

and a small small man.
I am glad he didn't stop and make a comment

what does that accomplish? I am not as critical of Mara as a lot of people on here. He seems to be as big of a fan as any of us. I get pissed when I think of the PSL's the parking cost and other aspects. He has removed a 2 time SB GM. He has removed a 2 time SB HC. He removed a too big suit wearing dumbass headcoach during the season. He hired guys he THOUGHT were the right guys. He seems to have gotten that wrong. I think there are going to be changes. I think that small ones may come in the next couple of days. He's not out on tour with his band playing guitar while his team craps the bed. He's not selling off every good player in the hopes of lowering costs and turning a profit. He doesn't run down to the sidelines and make stupid statements to the press after every game. But he is a fan and I do believe he will try to right the ship. If you think a change of ownership works ask your redskins fan friends. Ask the browns or the jets. I hope he makes a major change and hires a president of football operations. But more importantly I hope he is able to find the right people. Half the time its a crap shoot.
PSL and parking price gouging are a huge part of the problem

Quiet, disinterested home games adds to the losing. Mara/Tisch has gutted the heart and soul of this franchise, and any semblance of enthusiasm, loyalty and family the fans had.
Dinger: your post was most rational and thought worthy I have seen on

BBI in a very long time. I have not seen your handle before but I think you should copy your post and use it to start a new thread so that many here could read and reflect on it. If you choose not to, i fully understand but thank you for a compellingly rational view of “ownership and leadership”
I actually don't have a problem with that.

It at least shows that he isn't happy. And hopefully, that leads to a couple of firings once the season is over. Hopefully.

Insightful. Hope you are on the Philosophy Staff at Harvard or Princeton with such a thought provoking statement.

Don't have an issue with that.

In the heat of the moment, a lot of us say stupid stuff.
Dinger - in this organization GM is essentially president of football

operations. I've been a big believer in DG, but I'm starting to move towards the fence. The issue I'm having is, if the beats are correct, DG is a supporter of PS. The only reason I can think he likes PS is because he is a meek little bitch who doesn't challenge his authority. If that's the case Mara should clean house.

The speculation is all over the place whether or not PS comes back is going on here because we really are unchartered territory. Second-year to a coach we gave a FIVE-year contract (Mara's dumb idea I'm sure to show stability), we are awful, and have gotten worse. I've tuned into the FAN today out of curiosity and pretty much every fan wants him to go. Francesca is speculating on how they are going to try to sell us another year. The issue is the game management shit is so obvious to everyone this is a quintessential I'm going to piss on your face and tell you its raining. If Mara actually has respect for this fanbase he better fire this guy
who cares what he says

never really does anything right lately but fuck things up further. Someone posted that TC clip the other day, tells you all you need to know.
