On the 22 yards catch & run, Copeland tries to tackle him, grabs his ankle, SB breaks the tackle but skips in an awkward way, seemingly in pain, after the attempted tackle.
You can see it at about the 2:09 min mark in the link.
Not as clear, but after he's pushed out of bounds appears to be favoring that foot.
At this point... he's hurting the team more than he's helping.
If its still an issue after the bye, they need to sit him out. There's nothing to be gained, & hopefully they're not risking making it worse.

I cant believe, at least I hope, they're not dumb enough to risk making things worse short/long term.
But even if medically they dont think it could get worse... the way he's playing he's more a liability than an asset. Just stupid
i respect him wanting to gut it out, but it's just not working. shurmur should have been smart enough to realize this a couple weeks ago.
Play someone who can pass block..
If they keep playing him while he is hurt, he will no longer be an all world RB. This is what happened to Hakeem Nicks. They need to shut him down.
He jumped and came down awkwardly on his ankle.
At worst you find out there is one more hole to fill (#2 RB) for next year, but the upside is you may discover a good 1 -2 combination (with SB as the feature back) that would save some wear and tear on Saquan.
(Gallman's liability compared to other major college backs was speed; he led all the "elite" RBs in yards after contact; but eventually the faster DB/LBs would catch up with him. He still had 3,429 rushing yds and 34 touchdowns. In goal line and short yardage situations he was money; a very good 3rd down receiver.)
The other benefactor may be Jones; whether it is because of experience or health, in my opinion Wayne is more solid in pass protection.

Oh so nothing happened this past Sunday to make that and his shoulder get banged up too?
Lord...

On a play where any player could get hurt. It wasn't from repeated "blows".

His shoulder injury came from repeated blows?
No doubt he isnt 100%, but that wasn't a reaction to being hurt.

I agree with this, I remember on the live feed after he broke that tackle, he was doing that Walter Payton-esque high leg thing. It got me pumped actually... lol. Also agree he is not 100% for sure but yeah he did that step on purpose.

Blow, blows...??
It didn't happen touching God's hand....
Players play hurt often... sometimes it’s noticeable sometimes not so much. That’s a given in the NFL. Playing the way he’s been, coming off an injury leaves little doubt IMO.... he’s hurt and he’s not very effective.
It’s up to you if you want to believe that or not. But the alternative is he is healthy, but by some weird act of God, he suddenly regressed.
