according to Patricia Traina @Patricia_Triana

Amazing that Rosas goes from the pro bowl to about to be cut. what the hell happened to this guy?
Need to be

tested with big time clutch kicks that matter.

Hitting a bunch for a crap team with nothing to play for proves nothing.

Now he is collapsing and is another player regressing with this staff.
McGaughey sad he is rushing

his kicks.
Bringing in kickers is a subtle hint that he can be replaced. No way he is cut right now.

Remember also that 1 FG and 1 XP miss were on bad snaps this year.

Seems like they’re sending a message to Rosas

DG and Shurm...those cunning bastards.
Can we work out a few new coaches

While we are at it?
Let’s ignore the shitty snaps by our LS
Tuckrule : 11/12/2019 8:12 am : link
This franchise sucks. Deossie has been a bad long snapper for 3 seasons. Why can’t they realize this
Nothing gets a 2-8 teams attention more

than putting the Kicker on notice that anyone can be replaced. Next thing you know Tanney will be asked to hold Shurmur's play card during practice.

Agreed! He was a pro bowl kicker last year. The snaps have been awful. And for a decade now, we have devoted a roster spot to a long snapper. He was great at his job but no more.

I love how the staff gets tough with their place kicker. But their is no accountability for anyone who can't do their job. Free safety can't even run... Leave him alone. He was a coaches favorite from AZ.
There...

Like I said, a couple snaps, I'm sure caused misses, and Riley has done an excellent job on a few others. But he has also just flat out missed a couple.
They did have a long snapper in this summer for a look see. DeOssie most definitely needs to be replaced next season.
Before they give up on Rosas they should have him kick from the center
shyster : 11/12/2019 8:57 am : link
of the field on XPs rather than from the hash mark

The first XP miss against the Lions he only hooked slightly but because he was lined up on the left hash, it missed just left.

He seems to be thinking about that miss and over-correcting. Miss against Dallas was off the right upright and then he also pushed the "long" XP against the Jets to the right.

As far as the snaps, only of the three missed XP kicks had a questionable snap, the one against Dallas.

The other bad XP snap was the one against the Jets that wasn't handled by Dixon and Rosas never attempted the kick.

Just a reminder that the Giants are 1 of 32 teams who dedicate a roster spot to a LS.

Of course they get tough with the kicker, what a bunch of incompetent assholes.
i'd bet the bad snaps are to blame for a good amount.
BigBlue2112 : 11/12/2019 9:17 am : link
Count your blessings with having a good kicker. It's very tough to find one out there. Just look at the Bears post Robbie Gould.
Get a new deep snapper
Marty866b : 11/12/2019 9:44 am : link
And you will see Rosas miraculously improve.
go see a head coach
richinpa : 11/12/2019 9:44 am : link
His leg works

he showed that last year

So go to a sports shrink and get your head straight....

we have enough concerns as a team and holes. Kicker can't be another and now is...

Snaps look fine to me...

Rosas looks like he gained too much weight if you ask me.

Snap Looks Fine To Me

In this losing season
Josh in the City : 11/12/2019 10:30 am : link
I'm fine giving him a little scare with this workout but I much prefer to keep Rosas than sign someone off the street. The guy has a ton of talent and we've seen firsthand how good he could be. Would be shortsighted and foolish to release a 24 yr old kicker with his talent just to have another team pick him up. Get his head right and he will be our kicker for the next decade.
I had commented last week..
BillKo : 11/12/2019 10:40 am : link
...that he appears to be walking gingerly, almost like he has a hammy.

Anyone else seeing that? Also, you never seem him sprinting anywhere...not that kicker has to be sprint.....he just seems off and not 100%.
Are they serious ?
Ron from Ninerland : 11/12/2019 11:36 am : link
De Ossie is the problem, not Rosas. His snaps have been off since the pre-season. Even if the holder gets the ball down on time a bad snap throws the kicker off his rhythm . I'm surprised Dixon has handled it as well as he has.

Look at the video I just posted. Where the hell is the problem with that snap????????

What stands out to me about that video (perfect snap & hold btw) is Rosas' lack of power. Ball is sputtering and didn't even get to the back wall. That's a 33 yard XP.

I also notice Shurmur hasn't attempted barely any long FGs this year. When he's inside the 40 he goes for it on 4th down. Rosas showed a very capable leg inside 60 last year.

Something seems to be up w/his leg strength.

43 yard XP after the OPI penalty on the two point attempt.
