Mandalorian is alone worth that. Also, its releasing weekly episodes which I love, and I think more shows across all streaming platforms are going to do that which IMO is long overdue. The spoilers have gotten out of control with the "binge" era.
I have a 5 YO, 3 YO, 6 month old. Current cash burn rate on buying Disney movies via Prime was about $20 every other month, so $70 for the year is actually going to save me sme $.
I woke up nice and early to download the Disney+ app to the TVs before heading out to work. Unfortunately, Samsung had not dropped their SmartTV app as of ~6am. It was right there on Roku though.
My wife is going to mock up a note from Santa Claus while the kids are at school. We're framing this one as a super early gift from Santa for some recent good behaviors with some veiled threats that the behavior best continue if they want more of the same on Xmas day...

and its one of the reasons why I didn't want them to keep investing in GoT because they are either ignoring, or losing out on good new projects due to time and/or money. Their app is also the worst of all streaming services. And on top of it they don't offer offline viewing which is a dealbreaker too.
I think we locked in to a 3yr deal for something like $3.89/month
the amount of content available at that price sets a very very high bar.
I'm excited about the Marvel & Star Wars content. My wife can't wait to see the new Lady & the Tramp. My brother-in-law is excited for the X-Men cartoon. My mom is excited to have all the Pixar movies. My little niece and nephew can't wait for it for all sort of reasons.
I have a number of Samnsung Smart TV's, do you know if the Disney+ is going to be available or am I going to have to purchase a Roku stick to get the app.
If I read it correctly, Amazon will not allow the Disney+ app on any of their sticks.

I'd be surprised if a solid Disney+ app comes to Samsung smart TVs anytime soon.... you'll be happier with a Roku stick anyway... much better experience than the Samsung built in apps...
Disney+ will be on Amazon...they came to an agreement last week... so articles you are looking at are probably dated before that agreement.
On a personal note... Looks like I might finally watch those Star Wars movies everyone is always going on about..
If you have a Verizon unlimited data plan.... Just an FYI. Sign up on your My Verizon app. Choose Account, Add-Ons, Entertainment....should be first listing. You're welcome.
I downloaded the Disney+ app onto my TV Samsung smart TV this morning. I was having trouble signing in though and then had to leave for work. I figured there would be some kinks this morning.

if you want to binge, you can still do that after they all air. For people that don't have the time to watch everything in one or two sittings, the threat of spoilers is greatly decreased. Certain shows are better with breaks as well, IMO.
It also makes sense from a business perspective, never understood why you'd allow everyone to watch an entire new show in 1 day and then let them cancel.
I signed up for the free year 18E told us about, because why the hell not, but I just looked at their original programming slate. And yikes. If you don't like Star Wars and Super Hero stuff, there's pretty much nothing good. Oh well.

Thank you for this! Unfortunately the iPhone app and my Samsung app are unable to connect. Hopefully no issues after dinner tonight

What kind of kinks?
I tried signing in (on phone and pc) but got a message to call customer service. So now, I'm on hold listening to my second hour of some shitty music.

FYI, you can add HBO as an option to Amazon Prime or Disney+. I've used them through Amazon Prime and it is a lot easier to use than HBO's native web site. Disney+ claims that they allow offline viewing of HBO content, including on computers.

Mandalorian totally sucks. Bad music, dopey script, into slovenly for some reason.
I am not a Star Wars guy at all (haven't seen any of the movies), so if I haven't seen them, is it not worth watching the Mandalorian? I guess what I am asking, can it be a stand alone series where you can watching without having seeing the movies. I get that there may be some references to the movie that I wouldn't get, but this looks pretty damn good.
I am getting Disney+ regardless for my boys, so what the hell, why not try out a new series.
you can watch it. There's so much out there in the SW world that by now you know the gist of the canon even if you haven't watched any of them.
I takes place after the end of the first trilogy so I guess if you were going to watch anything, watch the 3 originals before Mandalorian. And you'll have time since they are staggering the releases.

Is the first trilogy the second trilogy or do you mean the first trilogy which came out second?

So now the greedo scene is even worse? Link - ( New Window )
It never should have been touched in the first place. Of course Han shot first. So what? It was a hive of scum and villainy, after all. That's who Han was; he was saving his ass.

And why was it not OK for him to shoot Greedo first, but it was fine in Solo to shoot Beckett first?

Well played sir, I wish I thought of that.
I'd be tempted and I don't have small kids anymore..

There is so much variety to it.
No one will be binge watching the Mandalorian. A new episode is released once a week through December.
Yeah i'm at work and just signed up and nothing is loading. They will work the issues it, its just being overloaded.
The Mandalorian is being released in episodes spaced out by a few days or so. So you'll need to wait a couple weeks to watch them all at once.

Yup, should really help pass the time before Rise of Skywalker and keep me nice and distracted.

Watch the original three movies.
You should not wait any longer.
Is there a roll out plan to release additional TV and movies listings?
