NFT: Cord Cutters Question -- History Channel

BamaBlue : 11/12/2019 9:52 am
This weekend, I dumped DirecTV and started streaming YouTube TV on Roku devices. YTTV doesn't have the History Channel and I'm struggling to find a way to get the channel without having to subscribe to another service (Philo is $20/month, or just buying shows on Amazon Prime. AT& T WatchTV is $15/month, but isn't compatible with Roku… Anyone find a solution?
BTW...

thanks to BBI for the recommendation for YTTV. I love it, even without the History Channel...

Bill, there is an app, but the app needs to be supported via your subscription service. From your link:

Can I watch History channel on PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV?

No, not at the moment. There’s been speculation for a while that A&E Network channels were going to join Sony’s PlayStation Vue lineup. But it’s been over a year since chatter online has surfaced, and nothing has happened. YouTube TV doesn’t currently offer the History channel live. But YouTube TV is a newer service. So you could see some new channels come to YouTube TV soon.

I got it and you have to sign-up with your cable provider to have access. If you're streaming, you don't have an option to view the content.

Thanks... some good ideas. I like YTTV for the access to local channels. The quality of the picture is fantastic too. That was a big surprise. I thought I was getting the best picture possible through DirecTV... that was absolutely not the case.
