Some roster moves: deep breath. #Giants have re-signed tight end Scott Simonson. They’ve signed three players to their practice squad: TE Garrett Dickerson (re-signed), WR Alex Bachman, LS Colin Holba. And they cut WR Reggie White Jr. & DL Freedom Akinmoladun from the p-squad.

Holba has appeared in 13 games over three seasons. Carrying a LS on the practice squad is bizarre, so either DeOssie is hurt or they view Holba as a potential replacement (this season or in the future)
“Dickerson, 6-3 and 252 pounds, played four games last year and three this season for the Giants before he was waived on Oct. 22. He does not have a career reception. Dickerson originally joined the team as a rookie free agent from Northwestern on June 4, 2018.
Bachman, 6-0 and 190 pounds, was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as a rookie free agent on April 29 and was waived on Sept. 5. He caught two passes for 24 yards in the preseason. Bachman played in 32 games in four seasons at Wake Forest and caught 82 passes for 1,162 yards (14.2-yard avg.) and 10 touchdowns. As a senior in 2018, he played in 11 games and posted career-best totals of 37 receptions for 541 yards and six touchdowns.
Holba, 6-4 and 255 pounds, has played in 13 NFL regular-season games, including the first two this season with San Francisco. He also played seven with Jacksonville in 2017 and four with the 49ers last year. Holba originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft choice (213th overall selection) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017, from Louisville. He was waived at the end of training camp and signed with the Jaguars on Nov. 14 that year.” Link - ( New Window )
Can’t get coached up and it took what over three months to figure that out? Liked the kids tools but you drop him for the same position player who you saw for just a few days live and on film. I know the PS is a gamble but it really looks bad when you see moves like these made. Even a dunce should be able to learn 24 plays in three months just don’t get this move at all. Next great Giants transaction will be like week 11-13, deciding to IR Shepard due to concussion concerns but it will take that long.

Is the WR we signed any better than Reggie White?
Sorry - I couldn't resist.
True, but at least we have Peace.
Is the WR we signed any better than Reggie White?
Couldn't find much on him, but they may have deemed Sills as the "big bodied" type they'd rather spend the time developing.
They also still have Da'Mari Scott, so thats 3 total on the practice squd.
Well played.

He has some good physical tools including size and fair speed.
Coached up by who?
