NFT: Bars by Rutgers football stadium

Hey everyone,

I'm heading to New Brunswick for OSU/Rutgers and want to hit a few bars before the game. I'm 30, heading over with a few guys, so looking for a bar that maybe isn't a straight college bar (where I am surrounded by 18-22 year old college kids) but something that would still be a good time.

I hear Hub City Brewhouse, Golden Rail Pub and Stuff Yer Face are all alright, but I could use some more suggestions.

but Golden Rail was definitely a college bar. You're better off staying on George st, maybe Harvest Moon. Olive Branch would be my bet for bars near college ave.

But stay away from the Rail and that whole strip. Try the Ale n Wich on Hamilton

Ale n Wich is cool, but definitely a bit of a punk/hipster bar.

Destination Dogs/Roosterspin have good bars and food. What are you looking for besides non-college bar?
