a really good feel about him. He's smart and tough, loves football. A high character guy that secondary sorely needs. Even since Mcadoo our secondary has has a terrible attitude.
Wow.....maybe the defense will no longer be 10 vs 11 Â
Or a guy who hates to lose. We have plenty of them and they are only succeeding in losing with character. I just hope the guy can play because this roster is desperately short in those.
let him play now and learn from his mistakes. When you let rookies learn you are more than likely going to lose. We are playing a lot of them so we have to get through it.
Fact: At worst, JL's combine numbers are solidly middle of the road for starting NFL FSs.
Real Possible Problems: Tackling-Tackling-Tackling
Normally you would worry about him looking, and playing lost, but since Bethea lacks any legitimate range for the position, this concern is largely irrelevant. So what if he's not there. Bethea was never there either.
I do wonder if Love has enough pure speed to go sideline to sideline but a lot of that is instincts and knowledge of the game too.
In any event, Bethea is not a FS and hasn't been a FS in the NFL in a very long time. The Giants oddly acquired 2 SS's. Reminds me of when they had Collins and Berhe. You gotta have a deep guy.
I loved the Rolle & Phillips duo. KP was one of the most underrated Giants of all time. I remember Witten saying the Cowboys didn't even bother throwing deep if Phillips was back there. You could probably count the number of receptions he let over his head his entire career on one hand. Another Kenny Phillips is exactly what we need right now.
That's what I was thinking. Only coaches/staff and players getting treatment, the rest should be away from the facility.

I heard Ogletree on WFAN today and he said they practiced today.
If I had to guess...This was a request from Bettcher.
He ran 4.54 in the 40 with a 6.72 cone drill and a 36-inch vertical
Ed Reed ran 4.57 in the 40
Troy Polamalu did the cone drill in 6.75
Brian Dawkins's vertical was 35-inches
I believe the main attributes that sets apart good safeties from great ones are film study, anticipation, ball skills and tackling.
I think the film study and anticipation will be a strength for Love. I haven't seen his ball skills and tackling yet.
Love needs a chance.

Tell me when I guy compares to the best stats of a HOFer. Not the worst stats.
Ouch!

Byard re-upped with Tennessee in July. Five years. I forget the numbers, but I believe they made him the highest-paid Safety in the league.
Justin Simmons is on my wish list. The guy we should have drafted instead of Darian Thompson. in 2016.
You need to express yourself more clearly.
Exactly!
