root for cincy?

Platos : 11/13/2019 4:31 pm
If cincy can sneak 2-3 games in at the end of the season the giants, who look snake bitten, can get the #1 and probably a king's ransom to down to a QB hungry team like... cincy!

lets go Bungles!

@ Fins, and a home and away with Cleveland are the 4 winnable games they have left. I can see them winning 2, no more than that. Not sure who would have the tie-breaker if we end up tied.

If we get the 1st pick, I would auction it to the highest bidder. With Tua and Burrow at the top of the ticket, I imagine the bidding will be fierce.

I agree. When it comes to elite franchise signal-callers, the "draft trade value" charts go out the window and teams give up all sorts of picks and assets to move up to get one. 2020 looks like it has a couple of those guys, including Tua. Making a trade like that can change a franchise. Just look at the Colts trading down from #3 to #6 in 2018 draft, getting THREE 2nd round picks in return, and still getting the best OL in the draft in Quenton Nelson. Not to mention they did a tremendous job maximizing the value of those picks and drafting well.

But damn, Chase Young is an elite talent at a premium position. Just look at how much getting a guy like Bosa has turned around the 49ers franchise. A guy that gets after the passer with ferocious rush elevates everyone around him, inspires other guys in the front 7 to elevate their game and get in on the eating, plus makes the secondary look a hell of a lot better than it actually is.

It will be a touch decision, but if there is a trade on the table I have to imagine Gettleman would think about getting a haul for the top pick. I don't think he can just go with the "get the guy with the future gold jacket" idea again, because we need MULTIPLE quality players to turn this thing around, not just one.

Hell, as bad as this team and coaching staff is they might be able to trade back and still get him.

isnt a complete player to me. i think he'll go between 4-8. he's lit it up so far but he's not as technically sound as the bosa bros. kind of one dimensional. overall team is strong.

the combine and scouting process will change things. the guy going #1 always changes by april.
