brought back. Newest breaking big blue podcast, Jordan said guys were demoralized in the locker room when they found out Eli was coming back this year.
Who was it? Had to be offensive line or the WR group. Or maybe Engram.
If that's true, outside of a smalll handful of guys (Jones, Barkley, Hernandez, Slayton, the better rookies on D like Lawrence and Maybe Golden), just clean house. Get them the fuck out and just rebuild a few bricks at a time. And that goes double for the loser ass coach.
To quote that great philosopher Homer, "Suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked."
the most important position on that team was staffed by a guy you believed didn't give you a good chance of winning, what would that do to your morale?
They all did seem somewhat energized when Jones took the field. Of course, that didn't last very long.
or you simply choose not to believe it, just attack the source. It's now the American way of life.
I recall a similar "he's full of shit" reaction to a Jordan Ranaan story in pre-season a few years ago, right after OBJ was hurt against Cleveland. Ranaan reported that OBJ would miss the opener and likely the first few games. And that's exactly what happened.
When they announced Eli was coming back, no one was in this locker room because it was the offseason. Also, about half the guys on this team, weren’t on the team at that point.
Locker room harmony is without question the most over stated over analyzed and ridiculous talking point in sports today. And it means absolutely nothing. Want proof? Go find it yourself I’m too tired to conjure up the dozens of examples.
This podcast was mostly about Shurmur & Gettleman’s fate Â
Jordan brought up an interesting observation in an answer to what Shula's job is. Jordan said that his primary role is to develop the passing game plan. The other tidbit is that Shula isn't involved in the run game plan. He believes that Hal Hunter is developing the run game plan. The whole dynamic just underscores the dysfunction of this coaching staff.

The idea that a group of losers is actually sad that Eli is playing football, or Jordan Ranaan claiming he knows the feelings of the entire locker room based on the gripes of probably two or three players.
So the locker room got they want now? Not demorilized, but still sucking balls?
I'm not even sure of the point.
agreed. cry about it in preseason and weeks 1 and 2. its week 8 with Jones and we still suck.
Great point

3-year plans work.
That would confirm what Peppers dropped last week.
And wasn't Eli brought back before DJ was drafted? Did they want to play with Lauletta or something?
Did they feel better when Jones was picked?
Ranaan probably spoke to one guy who said that.

I thought you were talking about the player, not a poster.
Journalism today, if it even still exists, requires bullshit like this to drive clicks/interest.

Hey, I liked Boy George, for some reason..

The campaign has already started if you read today’s quotes.
Nope.
2018 points per game = 23.1
2019 points per game = 20.1
Eli was a problem don’t get me wrong, and jones needed to start ASAP, but no. Just no.
Lol cmon. Solder is the quintessential nfl company man.
He makes too much money and that drives some of you nuts.

has looked better in 8 games with Jones than Eli the last 3 seasons

I think if you consider their best offensive player missed games and has been playing hurt, that's a wash.
I was thinking the same thing

Yeah, a little friction can be a good thing.
