And I refer specifically to Eric and those who's opinion's carry a lot of weight.
Gentlemen, I strongly suggest you read today's articles by Paul Schwartz in the NY post and Tom Rock in Newsday who SPECIFICALLY outline the Giants problems.
Information I would have expected Eric and the band of "How. come we're not at 10 & 0" group to have known.
Hell I don't know squat about football, I do know that when you're starting a bunch to rookies and new guys it takes awhile for eleven guys to get in synch with a complex game as football. Or did you guys get born on Monday and compete in gymnastics on Saturday?
Starting from the top...for a bunch of pretty intelligent guys, what a bunch of totally wordy ignorant bunch of tunnel visioned opinionated dodoes.wow compared to youse(PL) I'm a friggen football genius and I had a hard time figuring out what a screen pass was 60 years ago.
Please review the team that's being put on the field vs the teams of one and two years ago and try to understand these are new players to the NFL. What are we fielding 22 1st and 2nd year players?
Reminds me of the city people who bought a farm and wanted the sow to be impregnated. So they made a deal with the farmer down the road to bring their pig over to be impregnated. So bright and early Monday morning they loaded the sow in the pickup and brought her over to the boar. They collected her that night and brought her home. The next morning the city squire farmer asked his wife if the sow was impregnated and the reply was "nope." so the sow was bundled into the pick up and taken to the boar, picked up that night. Same question in the morning with the same answer,"nope" and off she went again. That went on for a week.
Finally on Saturday the squire asked about the sow and this time the answer was "nope, but she's sitting in the pickup."
I have no idea what the moral of the story is but I KNOW this all the other teams that turned their season around had a strong core of players the year before and only had to add a few players to make the jump.
WE DID NOT NOR DO WE NOW HAVE A STRONG CORE OF PLAYERS! We are in the process of developing that core right now. That takes time and careful development of the proper players.
I expect a deluge of bitching and moaning and telling me I'm wrong in not too gentle terms but those pseudo football mavins don't know crap if they can't properly evaluate what's happening on their team.
I've been a Giant fan for while and I've learned that you can't sell from an empty store nor can you win games without the proper personnel AND I THINK DAVE G AND PAT S ARE DOING ONE HELLUVA JOB GETTING THE PROPER PERSONNEL TO FIELD A GREAT TEAM.
They're not there yet and maybe they'll better next year as the core gells and a few new pieces get added but they're a ways away from the super bowl and maybe another one or two years from playoffs.
I would strongly suggest to Eric since he's the leader here to evaluate just what he's saying because I think he's leading with his heart instead of his brain plus the fact that he's just plain wrong. Get the facts and evaluate the Whole picture!
Who's happy we're losing? not me but you gotta let the wine mature before you get a real sense of what you've got!!!!
Be prepared to sift the wine a couple of times to get rid of the sludge at the bottom and let the full body and taste of the wine to reach it's pinnacle of flavor. patience child, patience.
Eric's major points are correct. He may not have gone far enough, although I think there are better players on the team than he thinks.
And you really could have made your point in the pinned thread that Eric started.
I'm not sure it the sow ever got pregnant but obviously she was have a great time!!!
That's not a football question that common sense.
Keep changing coaches and you'll be pissen and moaning about no continuity.
I know you will always be right because "You know more'n me". that's why. I'm asking that the team be evaluated as to what is on the field before there's a complaint about the results. The team has to mature and I strongly suggest you view the team in the light that there is not yet a strong core of players. The potential is there but until that potential is realized the team will lose.
if that cannot be recognized then buy a lot of omeprazol or pepso bismal or what ever soothes the burning of defeats.
Last time I did, she got very angry.

Sounds to me you know more about football than those you said know more about football. So why ask the question when you already answered it?
This is one of the best posts I've read since Tommer forgot his Jewlz.
Bravo sir, bravo.
And that's basically why both entities are moving in the same direction.
BUT it is also blatantly obvious that the coaching staff is NOT getting the job done. Veterans are not playing up to their historical performances, and I'm not talking about end-of-career guys going over the hill here. Rookies are not developing as they should, and second and third year men are regressing. All this has been detailed extensively on this site and elsewhere.
This team is hot garbage because the coaching stinks. Really stinks.
LOL. But he failed his winemaking lessons. The process of removing clean wine from the "sludge" (properly called "lees" in a barrel or vat, or "sediment" in a bottle, is called racking (barrels and tanks) or decanting, from a bottle.
One does not "sift" wine...

Why isn't there a strong core of players?
1--- Solder is making $19.5m. Was that a wise investment for a team that is in a major rebuild?
2--- How about Ogeltree making $11.75m?
3-- Howabout giving 31 yo Tate $10.5m this year?
4-- ANd what Kareem Martin making near $6m?
This is over $48m dollars. Can you please explain how these investments totaling near $48m have helped establish a solid core for the future?
So it's okay with you that $48m was paid that won't help the core for the future? A lot of this money could have been spent for younger players that could have been part of the core for the future, couldn't it?
Or with more cap space the GMEN could be in better position for more talented future signings?

I'm sure they all know more'n me about football. the question I have how come they they can't understand that no matter what happens at this time . whatever changes are made the results will be the same until the team matures.

Meant to say Why isn't there a stronger core of players? - Not "strong."
AN dI meant "jutst under $48m."
I cant wait to see the next outrage Mara and Co. will pull off when they finally replace Shurmur and Gettelman.
Dont get excited, old man, about everyone who doesnt have the patience that you do to let this awesomely talented young team to mature. Theres not that much great talent, and the coaches in charge of developing them are not likely to maximize the teams talent. Guy has no fucking clue how to use the players at their current development level, no clear plan for the offense and the defense is a sieve. SORRY SORRY SORRY ASSED GIANTS TEAM. I dont see what youre getting all worked up over.
Besides, Tim Mara has been dead for over 60 years. What does he have to do with this team sucking?
We have one such year. 1/3 of the way there!
